I hate my home. I'm glad you like going home. My stepmom hates me so I rarely go home, I've been there twice this year. I like my mom's house though, but she lives in a diff state so I rarely see her, I'm thinking about moving though.

Yeah you may have your own place but the bad things are you have to clean up after your own shit etc and do your own washing bet ya miss the days when mummy would do everything! lol, you got a fulltime job reb?

home days were the best days. it sort of irritates me when I hear some kid complaining about living at home. some folks are better off away from home, but my advice to the majority of kids is to stay there as long as your parents will let you.

I fucking hate my mother, Brenda, as I usually call her. But, I still come home once a week to do my own laundry and use her internet with my computer to download songs and movies and stuff.

She rarely cooks, and I always do my own laundry. We have an unspoken, hate/respect relationship, I hate her to the fullest extent of the word, but I'll respect her by not talking to or about her.

And I use her shit.

As for having my own place, I do, and I gladly clean up my messes because

A) I and I alone made them so they're usually very small
B) If I don't, I feel like such a dirty fucking greaseball that it literally degrades me a bit inside every time I see a mess
C) If I don't clean my house at least once a week, I think my house gets this smell that is like old house and dogs mixed together. The previous tenant of my apt. had 3 dogs and I really believe if I don't keep it clean, it smells like dogs in there and I effing hate that.

I, too, am glad you do not hate your parents to hell.

And my advice is to get the hell out as soon as possible. I hated life living at home, now living away from home, I just hate people. It's a much better trade off for me. My parent's bullshit was always too much for me to handle.

No CC, I dont have to work yet. John and his family have money and he prefers me to be home, fixing up the house. Im like a stay at home mum minus the kids haha. But I never have to ask for anything so its fine with me

theirs nothing like your parents warmth.. and the cooking always seems to be the best. When you go home, thats when you know you miss your family.

The last person who lived in my apartment was filthy and there was a bad mice problem. I've bleached ever surface that I could and I swear it still smells like mice when ever I come home. I dont understand how anyone could let something get so bad.

I love going home, but I dont like living at home. I get along much better with my family when I dont live with them. I love going home to see my dogs and just enjoy being somewhere that always feels clean. It's not that I dont try and keep my place clean (I actually clean so much my boyfriend to stop because it smells like chemicals when he comes home), but theres only so much you can do when all the flooring and tiles in my apartment should really be ripped out and burned.

i love going home, but since i moved out two years ago, i haven't lived at my parents' house for more than 3 weeks at a time. and that 3 weeks has been over christmas break, and then i come back up to school to take a winter interssion class which lasts for two weeks and is the last two weeks of my christmas break. and every summer i take summer classes. my reasoning - that way i dont have to live at my parents' house for too long (they're great...but they don't know i still smoke, they're rather strict even though i'll be 21 in march, and usually if i'm home for 3 weeks, at the end of those 3 weeks i'm going crazy), and that way i only have to take 12 hours each semester, and i'm still caught up, and still started my summer classes this year as a junior. so yeah, it works out.

but my mom and dad are wonderful, and since i'm not home that often, when i actually do go home, everyone tries to be super nice and pleasant and not fight, which is great. much less stressful.

whenever i go home, my dad cooks breakfast on the weekends, my mom takes me shopping, takes me to get facials/massages/pedicure/manicure, takes me out to eat a lot. so it's nice :) but meh i would be fine without all of that stuff. it's just hard to be around my parents for long periods of time.

Yeah it is great. I know when I was younger I detested my parents but now that I dont live with them its so much better.
