I have grown a few times in hydro but it is not possible right now. If you grew in soil which of the following would you rather do and why:
A) Have 60 plants flowering in 6" square containers and move ever day like an assembly line. Each time add whatever you need based on where it is at. Veg 2 weeks and harvest 1 per day.
B) Have 30 plants in 2-3 gal containers similar to above except you'd get 1 every other day and veg time would be 4 weeks. Veg in 6" pots and transplant when going in flower room. Either way you'd always have 30 under 12/12.
How far into flowering can you transplant? I want to do it right. Any help or other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I have a cloner, plenty moms and 2 400's for veg. Flowering with 1 1k and 2 600's. I like the eod idea cause it is less visits t the location and the would only need to be watered eod anyway.

I think I'm just going to have 9 rows of 5 and harvest 5 per week.

i'd go with option B cause you'd have larger plants with more yield and the more plants you have the more that something can happen to them such as disease. the more plants you have the harder it is to control all of them. also more little yields compared to one nice yield

thats my thought

Thanks for the response. It also states to change water on the ez cloner before each use. What could happen to the clones, besides diseases, by using the same water? It is a hassle for me to change the water the way everything is set up.

You mean the possibility of disease isn't enough to make you want o change the water? The ez cloner has a drain plug in the bottom to make that job a lot easier. Put it up on blocks or a shelf and it is a cinch to empty- you stil have to sterilize it between uses- run a weak bleach solution in it, allow to run, flip over the foam pucks during the cleaning.
I think you are a cashcropper so I am giving you advice to crank out WEIGHT.
The perpetual harvest is not the best way to grow if you are running all clones of the same strain. It's labor intensive and does not give you a time when the room is EMPTY and you can treat for pests. Having plants close to harvest at all times means you can never bug bomb the room.
I go perpetual only because I'm running over 20 DIFFERENT strains with different timing and needs- and I suffer badly for it- I've got a bug problem that is hard to fix because most pesticides can't be used within 3 weeks of harvest. I'm not after weight, but looking at strain performance with an eye to breeding. Otherwise I'd go to a single run SOG style grow with a harvest every 7-9 weeks depending on strain.
My grow guru is like, OHHHH man come ON, just do a SOG already, sheesh! I think he's sick of listening to me whine about it! :D
Larger plants don't mean more yield. Yield per plant sure but your ROOM yield depends on 2 things: Growing skill, and watts. There's less that can go wrong if you veg for a short time and flower at 8" or less, and do a proper SOG.

Thanks for the input. I do worry about disease and will make sure to clean between cuttings. It is hid in such a place with no drains and hard to carry buckets of water out of. I have 10 different donor plants I use. I have noticed some knats but no other bugs. I did a hydro go with 120 small plants all at once and it just took forever to trim, didn't have room too hang, some hung too long....The list could go on and on. I think I am going to try 9 rows of 5 plants and just move 5 new every week and harvest 5. It will just be eaier for me. I am using 10.5" square pots and rooting clones a week and putting under 24/7 light in soil for one week. Then it is off to 12/12. If soil, nutes, care, light are all good would 1 oz per plant be a solid number to shoot for?
