Container Question

I was pondering this last night did a search but didnâ??t find anything, but then again I was high. When growing in soil would you want the container to have more volume to its height, width, equal, or does it not even matter? Just something I was thinking about.

generally, plants prefer depth, so their taproot has room to grow ... but, cannabis isn't too picky, that way ... indoors, I use #5 pots (they call them five-gallon, but, actually, theyre probably more like three) ... just make sure they have good drainage ... :smokin:

i use 5 gal buckets with lots of holes drilled in the bottom they seem to work good

Wider is better.
A #10 wide will give you more stability and better root structure (see - more offshoots) than a #10 tall.
Either way works though, so whichever you get will probably be fine.
Some folks use grow tables to get maximum lateral root growth.

martha stewart says, lol , that depth is better for drainage and root growth(generaly) something to do with the water pressure and draining better, plus the roots will grow towards the moist dirt at the bottom of the pot and be stronger for it. i swear it was on tv.
