I often go to my friends house which is a log cabin out in the country up in the hills. It's a pretty secluded area. I enjoy taking long walks by myself, looking at the calmness and peace of the country, in the morning, while smoking a joint.

One time I was out on one of my adventures and a deer emerged out of the woods and I stopped, and the deer and I were staring at each other for about 5 minutes, while I was smoking my joint. Then all of a sudden it ran back in the woods, never to be seen again.

Last week, I brought my bong over to smoke out of. This time I didn't put any water in it, and I enjoyed it this way, and it let me get huge hits that aren't water filtered, and it gets me quite high. Anyway, I was smoking some amazing unnamed highly sativa dominant dank, and I packed 3 bong loads of it that morning.

I just finished smoking, and put the bong in my friends car and everything, when his mom and younger brother rode up on their bicycles from their daily morning bicycle. At that point, she said "Mark (my friend's brother) is having cereal for breakfast today, but I can make you a smoothie." and at that point I just started laughing the hardest I've ever laughed in my life. She just looked at me very strange, and then tried continue explaining the ingredients of the smoothie to me, but I kept hysterically laughing.

They went inside, so I decided to have one more bong before I had the smoothie. Well anyway, after wards I go inside, and drink it, and it's the most disgusting thing I've ever had, but I drink it all, and pretend I enjoyed it. Mark is in the shower, and my friend is still asleep, so it's just me in the kitchen, and she says "You're stoned aren't you." not mad or anything, because she's smiling. And at this point, I am extremely blazed, and don't know how to respond, but she was like "I've been around enough stoned people in my life to know." and I'm like "Oh, lol..."

She said "It must have been pretty good." and I was like "Yeah, but I smoked out of my bong, but didn't put water in it, and for some reason it made me extremely high", and she was like "oh, so it was like a carborator" and I start laughing again, and then go down stairs and fall asleep since I usually stay up all night there.

Two days ago, I was smoking on the front porch over there, and when I exhaled there were massive clouds of smoke. The sun had just risen and the hummingbirds were trying to drink from the hummingbird feeders but that's where the smoke all went, so I pondered if the hummingbirds got high.

At night, when I smoke, my friend usually joins me. At night, we sit out back on two lawn chairs, with the light on by the back door being the only souce of light. If you go out of the lit zone, you can't see a thing.

Smoking outside in scenic places is awesome.. But I think it's better to be completely alone, no other humans, otherwise the value of it is kinda diminished.

It makes me feel one with the nature. It makes me realize that I as a human am no more important than all of the other life forms, and that the earth is everyone's home and it's such a beautiful place, and it reminds me of how humans try to ruin forests and the such, which makes me mad.

I hate the gnats or whatever that always swarm me in the early morning. They are the one things that piss me off. I always scream at them to stop harassing me, lol, as if they could hear me.

Yeah, I'd rather be by myself as well, than with another human who might not appreciate the beauty in nature. If it's someone else that enjoys nature, then sure, but otherwise I'd rather be my myself so I can truly enjoy it.

A lot of my "Things to do before I die" are places to smoke at such as a beautiful waterfall, a rain forest, a ditch weed or industrial hemp field, the grand canyon, on a beach, in the tree tops of the red wood forests, etc...

Smoking in nature has it's advantages and disadvantages. Like an example of a disadvantage is getting so baked you don't realize your standing on top of a poison ivy patch then next thing you know you're clawing your legs to death like fucking wolverine. Advantage is finding a nice peaceful spot with good scenery. Just toke up and let everything sink right in. We found an awesome cliff that could see about 20 miles out in every direction right above a waterfall/river. It's one of our primary smoke spots now. But I like to be somewhat familiar with my surroundings before I head off into a forest and start blazing. Sucks getting lost for about six hours in the woods. Other than that I love getting blitzed with the trees and creeks.

Great post!

I'd love to smoke in nature, but I live a fairly urban area, so I'll have to blaze inside for the time being. But it sounds very relaxing. I gotta try it some time.

I enjoy the serenity as i smoke at my cabin. thats where i go every 4/20. its just the perfect place to chill, then after we smoke we go to the local mountain town earth day events where they usually have homemade fudge.

Thank you for letting me have a moment like that, since I havent been able to blaze in forever. Its people like you with stories like this that make the world a better place. =]

I love toking in the middle of the woods, or any other secluded area. it just gives you a feel of how small you really are in the world... hell, I love going out in nature when I'm sober too... it's just an amazing place to be and it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside knowing that there still is some nature out there, but soon there won't be, which makes me extremely sad and very pissed off... I wish everyone could see the beauty of it all instead of the money it could bring in if it were cleared for a mall... :-(

i envy you. smoking out in nature is the best. here in suburbia we are confined to garages and rooms. backyards are probably the closest i can get to nature without going on a trip.

yesss, I'm still groovin on the mellow vibes from that tale. All the world should be as nonchalant as the characters portrayed. Seriously that's some good writing; the first part set the relaxed scene with the deer and then led to an actual climax, but the climax was not antagonistic, it was disarming. Then the narrative abruptly shifted setting, giving a dreamy feeling (the hummingbirds and the patio chairs). The whole thing was peppered with just enough dialogue to maintain that dreamy feeling, which the writer made very easy to internalize.

Not that I can really provide any better rhetoric than what's already on the thread, but to me smoking outdoors is as important as breathing. The impression that always stays with me after exhilarating meditative sessions in the woods is that all the divisions and partisanship and cliques and consumerism and ethnocentricity and all arrogance seems absurd and comical when compared to the ethereal and infinite truth that all people, plants and things are ultimately made of the exact same thing and were at one point one absolute entity and will be restored to one definite awareness. Whether this happens once or goes in cycles I can't say

Just being outside in general when you're high is nice, but I can't wait to go to my grandparent's cabin and blaze there this fall. I still like going for high walks. Some neighborhoods in my town are over a century old, and I love going there and walking under these immense gnarled trees and just staring up at the sun through the leaves. One time I walked past a row of hedges, and they seemed to stretch up forever in a wall of leafy green, and I thought of garden-girdled Babylon. It was one of my most memorable toking experiences.

Ya man I love to smoke in Nature actually thats all I do because I live in the country and have to go out to smoke ( I guess I am spoiled ). A while back I walked out on a beach when the tide was low and jsut stood there soaking it in. I wasnt even high but it was so beautiful the only bad part was walking back looking at the resorts and clearcutting. Where did humanity screw it up so bad?
