Ok so i was thinkin of putting my two bagseed plants indoors in my closet. i have noticed some bug activity( those little rolli polli bugs), and was wondering if i could just put the plants root balls in a little bucket of water until all the soil leaves the rootbal and drowns the bugs. then im putting them in some fresh soil indoors. will this work and if there are any other methods then please share!

This website (http://www.livingwithbugs.com/sow_bug.html) has some info on them. Unless your plant is very young like seedling status I think it will be ok with them there. You can just pick them up as you see them, they're harmless. Just throw them outside. And I've never seen them really burrow. I only see them like on moist soil under say a log. Sift a little through the topsoil and you should get any that you couldn't see anyways.

What you're suggestion, I'm not sure if it wouldbe good for the plant, but it would probably get rid of any other bugs that might be in the soil. Wait for some advice from the experienced members though.

EDIT: Oh, and that sig of yours, lol, 5th of everclear? That'll get you fucked up lol.

No, simply soaking the roots will not kill bugs.

You need to quarantine them for a week or so to allow any eggs to hatch.

Put them in a big cardboard box or in your bathroom with a light on 24h light and bug bomb twice, at least 4 days apart. Or hose them down with pyrethrin, also giving treatments spaced out a few days.

personally, I wouldn't even consider bringing them inside ... especially, this time of year, it won't be long before flowering starts ... :smokin:

rolly pollys arent of any concern, mites and things are though. check the leaves and give it a good spray if needed and watch. ive only done it once, but the worst i had by bringing them in is gnats.

I've never had the 'roly-polys' before, but I read a thread, just the other day, that warned they cut the plant off at its roots, or something ... (not a bug expert, I'm just repeating what sounded like knowledgeable advice, at the time) :smokin:

ok, i could be wrong, but they are usually found in/under really wet stuff like pots and logs just scurrying around. i really may be wrong about damage though but they are big enough to pick out.

yeah, and I don't know that, for sure ... that's why it caught my eye, when someone said they can kill your plant, I thought " them cute lil' buggers ?? " ... :weedpoke:
