Congrats on your honesty with yourself and others! Here's hoping you'll never have to encounter a small-minded, disapproving idiot in your future. You have both my support and my admiration!

Strange turn of events, considering a recent thread. That's all I'm going to say.

lol, i wasnt sure what to expect here. either you were going to tell everyone something big, or your first grow was just completed and have some tasty bud pics to share. i was half right. good for you, are you doing this in the real world too or only here on the boards? its usually not as hard as you think it will be. most people are generally very accepting, lets hope its a good expierience for you.

Well I guess his stepmom will be disappointed... but... I don't see how that bizaarre thread makes this any less legitimate. I don't smell any BS here (yet).

Hmmm.
Perhaps the whole M-I-LILF/Daddy-o's Ho' thing put him off women?

no joke, I thought the same thing myself.
Kiddo, I'll bet you've got a story to tell.
Are you certain that you are interested specifically in men, or are you feeling uncomfortable with the idea of sex/relationships with women?
And to set the record straight, was that other thread a joke?

Yeah don't let any closed-minded fuckers get you down. If they say anything, just sucker-punch them in the kidneys and walk away.
Seriously though, just be who you are. No one has a right to judge you for that.
It took a lot of guts to do what you did. I hope everything works out good for you!!!

i've always wondered what people are trying to do/say when they make a big deal out of being gay like this. you want to be treated like everyone else, yet you feel the need to express to this little world your sexual preference? are you looking for a congratulations or a pat on the back?
nothing against gays of course. unless they're extremely flambouyant. cause that's just annoying :)

Sometimes we all need a pat on the back!
Although I can't speak for anyone but myself, gays still face discrimination with their own families 'cause a lot get kicked out of the house just for being gay. It's still a big deal with some people. So by "coming out" the person is just asserting that this is who they are!
I don't think there's anything wrong with a statement like this.
Toke on, my friends!!!

i beleive it's a lil deeper then that... my guess would be, since gay people are one of the top hated 'groups' they feel unaccepted... by actually coming out and "making a big deal of it" they're reassuring themselves that it's ok.... and that they are accepted...

Hi hon, and welcome! It has always seemed a little silly to me to judge a person on just one aspect ( gay, "race", religion, pot, gender, etc.) of who they are. People are SO much more than who they go to bed with! I don't claim to understand being gay, but I do understand love- been married to the same guy for about 40 years. Hope you find your right person, too. - Granny:hippy:

Alright, man, good for you! Just don't go west Hollywood, unless you're actually in west Hollywood. I guess what I mean is, be gay as you can be, but don't make straight paranoid men uncomfortable. We're no different from you but it feels like it sometimes.
I hate this, it sounds offensive but I don't mean it to be.

Burn the heaten!!!
Haha, just kidding man ;) . That's great you can be honest with us, hopefully with your family, and most importantly with yourself :) . I really hope one day society will all wake up and nobody will have to have a closet to come out of in the first place.
There is rarely any type of prejudice around here. And most people in society couldn't care less. As for me, I have had minor conflicts with my sexuality in the past. And if there is anything I learned, it is that you cannot expect other's to accept you, if you cannot accept yourself. And if you can't accept yourself, then you had better change.
