Hi everyone,

This is one of my babies at 4 weeks from seed. Grown initially in a heated propagator under 55w flouro's for 2 1/2 weeks, now under 2 x 400w MH. I can't believe the short bushy growth on these!

Note the leaf burn - I posted last week asking for advice - well it looks as if the lights WERE too close (about 18"), so i've moved them up quite a bit - to around 30-35" - no growth loss as far as I can see, and the new growth looks unaffected.

Anyone else have experience of growing a similar strain? What kind of height could I expect from 10 further weeks of 24/0? After 10 weeks (or so), i'm swapping them to 12/12, and switching the lights to 2 x 400w HPS - any experienced growers thoughts on this?

I'll regularly post updates - my next step is to take cuttings - a process I've never done before so any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated!

Take care all, look forward to hearing from you!

Don't think i've ever heard of hempstar. Looks indica-ish.

It's a Dutch Passion strain.. feminized. 8 out of 10 seeds germinated, but i think i could have had a 100% gerrmination rate - if i hadn't planted some seeds too deep in a soil that was not airy or light enough.

I believe it IS sativa tho, not indica - see Hempstar (http://www.cannabis-seeds.co.uk/products/327/hempstar.html)

the leaves on your pictured 'Hempstar' are indica-dominant ... :smokin:

you have quite awhile, before you need to worry about taking cuttings, you need to know if it's a female first (and, being a 'feminized' plant, you will need to watch for male flowers, 'hermies', to appear) ... there are plenty of threads regarding cloning, including a 'how to clone' section in the Grow FAQ section ... READ up on it, before you attempt it, you'll be glad you did ... :smokin:
