I've heard from numerous (other teenagers, not exactly reliable) people that if a person is 18 or older, it is legal to have sex with a person under the age of 18 as long as no more than 4 years and 364 days seperate their ages.
I can't find this anywhere on the net, and I really don't think it exists.
And this law is also in tennessee so iv'e heard.

I believe each state has it's own laws regarding age of consent, make sure you are 100% positive about your state's laws before you do something that can get you in trouble =)

I know in my state the statue says it is not illegal to have sex with someone younger that 18 years old as long as he or she is above the age of 16 and you are not over 21 years of age. The only reason I know this is one of my girlfriends mothers tried to file charges against me in the case of statutory rape. well obviously it went no where because I was only 20 and she was 17 and she consented in mutual sex. So there is some hope but like everyone has said it is different in every state. Just look up your states statutes

i have a kooky idea...how about we date people our own age then there will be no problem...(why would a grown ass man want an underage girl?)

In TN it is 4 years difference as long as the age is 16, how ever the DA can still charge someone 17 and over with a sex crime if they choose to.

I know this thread is old but if anyone wanted to know the answer--it is 3 years, 11 months and 29 days between persons involved in a relationship...
For instance, a 20 year old could be with a 16 year old as long as the 20 yr old does not turn 21 before the 16 year old turns 17...and from what I was told by a county cop sometimes that doesnt even matter...they'll still try and pin you with statutory rape.
yeah, and when they said 3 years, 11 months and 29 days you better NOT go over even one day or u can be charged..
Personally I wouldn't even risk it:thumbsup:

i say old enough to drive, old enough to... uh.... drive me around and take me to burger king or something, anything less than 17 is weird.
in most states its 16 or 4 years. if it wasnt like that a lot of young males lives would be ruined by crazy parents pressing charges.
