If triangles had a god he would have three sides.

This is a very important thing to think about when discussing or thinking about god.

Thoughts?

lol. I thought people would get this but oh well. My point is that dont you notice how all civilizations gods look like their people. The egyptian gods had dark skin and eyes like egyptians, greek gods had white skin and greek features, asian gods have slightly yellow skin and asian eyes, amazon gods look like the amazons, and therefore the god of the triangles would have three sides just like the triangle people.

Get it?

Well every cultures God is formed from the people of that culture so naturally they are going to view their Gods in similar form.
Or that they were created in the likeness of their God.

If the earth was ruled by dogs, god and angels would be depicted as dogs with halos and wings..

well that is pretty obvious that a civilization of people with certain characteristics would make a god with their traits. it would be dumb as hell to have a whole civilization worshipping a rabbit or a rock or some shit

The point is that it shows that people never actually saw gods and then drew pictures of them. They just made it up and drew them to look like the people they saw every day. If the gods were real they would be the same in every picture. Did you notice that Jesus is depicted as white today? Thats because the people that claim to have seen draw him to look like themselves and it has alwys been like that. In reality if Jesus was real (which i doubt but still) he would look more like Osama bin Laden based on the region he came from.

He says you guys falsely depict God and Jesus as white guys. I think it would make more sense for God to be a circle because we will never realize the full power of pi...

That wasnt my oint but it is one of the most popular examples used to prove my point. AM i making any sense at all?

Fear not, One Question, I understand you perfectly, as I have similar sentiments.

Apply this concept towards Zen Buddhism, however. And you will understand why I deem it the only major Earthly religion that comes close to understanding the truth.

Technically we are "reincarnated" or at least cycled back into nature, but in a more gruesome way, how our decomposing bodies are used as the building blocks for new life. :wtf: Well if you think about it there is a certain unpredictable cycle that almost no creature can escape, being devoured and used to make another organism grow, but I don't think it's karma based...
Maybe thats what they really mean when talk about reincarnation... the buddhist phylosophy usually can be very allegoric and symbolic, or even poethic... and they also can percieve the world in ways far beyond we are used to, because their mental training, meditation, etc. So, maybe they, during this altered states of perception, percieved this process of decomposition and recomposition, (which we only recognized recently, after the proof of existence of atoms and their [usual] indestructibility), and wrote about it, poetically, speaking about the reincarnations. Maybe thats was the original idea, and it was mixed and altered with the passing of time, until become the reincarnation beliefs there is today.

This thread kind of reminded me of Flatland (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flatland).
