Judge by the colour [maturity] of the trichomes. You want to get AT LEAST 80% cloudy, otherwise it'll be a weak pathetic high.

Once you've got the majority cloudy, your plant is ready - IF you want to cut it down.

If you want a slightly heavier stone, more indica feel to it, then leave it even longer and let some of the trichs turn amber.

IT's all up to you, the grower. The plant is looking nice, so when you've got the trichs cloudy the call is yours.

NEVER judge the maturity of a plant on the pistiles though - they mean nothing!

LIP ty man my prob is that the closer i can get is x10 and that can only show me the head if its well shaped , round or not , the plant grows with 400whps 11.5/12.5 d/n @24-27celcius soil ( not the best i could get ) , 2 days now i run 11/13 can't exceed 10th week as i ll be leaving for vacations in less than 3 weeks and need at least 5-7 days of drying for the small-mid sized buds to be smokeable ( i dont want to smoke chlorophyl on my vacations :p )

Noctumal if u refering to the strain yes thats the 1st gen Big Bud , if u refer to the size of it dont get excited by the photo the bud is roughly 2 figners thick and for me thats just ok , they just look nice ;)

AND SOMETHING ABOUT BIG BUD ... The bending by weight is a MYTH mine bended at the 3rd week due to stretching as there still is minimal floral production , the sterm is hollow and cant keep even the leaves weight otherwise trouble free strain

TYVM guys as this is my 1st indoor attempti did several mistakes but not any lethal ones , bugest of all was to put some dechlorinator in the tap water do to get rid of the chloramine , i intoduced to the root system a blenny that coats the fishes to prevent from viruses etc mot good !

letting it a week more is the sure thing dunno if it needs 2 weeks more or not , i may be in a hurry but i want the best quality i can get .
ill have the new photos today and ill try find a good magnifying lens

Guys got bad news , the second ( bagseed ):mad: plant i got turned hermie without moticing untill yesterday dammed male flowers poping here and there i actually didnt first noticed the flowers but the seed that allready were forming lol yeah were cause i cutted it today .

Another litle prob i got is that the way i could retreave my mobile photos for summer is unavailable but ill keep em for a coming diary

As for the Big Bud indeed it gains in mass and size and now i can see clearly brownish forming on some of the trichs
Im seriusly thinging to cut the 3 top and bibbestcolas this sunday and lower the light closer to the plant so benefit the hole bud mass rather having 3 great n dense bud another 5-7 nice n good and all others loosy as the are now ... what say u ?

65 days bloom... but you should also consider how big they are and how old they are.... Just finished flowering 20 mother plants this way and the majority took a good 11weeks to finish, and the high is pathetic from these 4ft tall fat ass monsters. This goes to show that even 11weeks bloom period can result in a shitty smoke. Focus on the signs that indicate that the plant is finished!

F@@@ big bud man ! , im here 31/7 10 weeks and some days into flowering 11d/13n and the trichs are still milky , only the samples i cutted had some amber trichs and still even that the high is indeed pathetic , im leaving for vacations in 10 days from today and hardly it will be rdy i veged it for around 50days i had preflowers on the month and w8ed untill i saw 11 blades when the height was roughly 20in - 64cm

Root hormone sounds like a perfect solution for the hight which will take place in an extented veg period , thx home.grower :thumbsup: , any kind of info will be nice to have
