So at work the other day I was injured a little. 2 days during the week I help deliver and repo. I cover for the 2 guys I work with on their day off. Anyways this customer requested pick up because she couldn't afford her bedroom suit but would come back and get it later when she because more financially stable. So we go out to pick it up.
We have to stand the dresser up on its end and turn it, and put it back down, to get it through the door. (Were in a trailer) While putting it back down the dresser slipped and I got pinned against the wall while the corner of the dresser scrapped down my calf. I didn't notice it at first but a min later my calf was burning real bad.
We get back in the truck and I pull up my pants leg and its already turning purple. That was 6 days ago. This bruise is huge. Its about 4 inches long and 3 wide. Its dark purple, light purple and yellow. I also have a few tiny scabs where the corner rubbed my skin off. It has started to itch like no other. I'm about to scratch my leg off.
If I had a camera I would take a pic. Have you ever had any incidents that caused a killer bruise or scar? Got pics?

Hmm.. dont rub it, in case it is a clot, you dont want to move it. I would get it checked, this totally is the opinion of someone who knows nothing about these situations and cannot be held responsible for any decisions made because of this thread. lol...

The next day it was so sore. I also wore shorts the next day, and you know how people are. They poke it and ask does this hurt? Hell yeah it does. It hasnt healed yet. If I stabbed you would it hurt?

not really similar, but when we got our cats, before they were declawed i was alseep on the sofa. and one of em was chasing the other around the house. and they chased each other over the sofa and one of em got me alllllll the way across my face. like from the edge of my left lip, across my cheek, behind my ear. dont have any pics of the cut because it was like 5 or 6 years ago. dont wanna post pics of the scar because then id be posting my face :p
but the scar isnt too bad, its very faint and you can only see it for like an inch, because it was deeper in the front than in the back by my ear. but it doesnt stick out any and few people notice it. and if they do notice it i tell them i got in a knife fight and some dude slashed my face before i beat him down. sometimes they fall for it, sometimes they dont.
LOL
Cat scratches hurt. My cat likes to stay under my feet while I'm at the pc desk. I have a bad habit of tapping my foot or swinging it. She will attack my foot, wrap around it, dig her claws in, and bite my toes.

I can't do anything about the pain, but the itch is easy! Go get some tooth ache remedy and rub it on the itchy spots! It is up to 1/5 benzocaine- it's the stuff a lot of dentists use to numb your gum before they poke you. It's a great little topical anesthetic. I always grab a few tubes when I see it at the Dollar store. It's good for insect bites, too. Sunburn pain killers are often benzocaine as a spray or cream, so they will work too, but toothache remedy has the highest concentration.- Granny:hippy:

Awww, that sounds like it hurt like a SOB. Sorry. I'm sure you'll be ok though. If it keeps up, go get it checked. Get a pic! I actually do have a pic of me injured when I fell down ...doing something...but I can't post self pics here. :(
LMAO @ "if I stabbed you, would it hurt?" I can't rep you again yet. :(
When I first read the TITLE of the thread, I thought about that part in the Austin Powers movie where the guy gets thrown in the cell and he's like:
"You shot me! Right in the arm! Someone help me, I'm not dead, but I'm severly INJURED!"
ROFLMAO...sorry...do you know what I'm talking about? I tried to find it on YT, but couldn't.

If my camera weren't always appropriated by my son, I'd take a picture of the parallel scratches my Siamese cat, Buddy, gave me last night when I tried to trim his nails. I actually succeeded in getting the front ones trimmed, but he dug his long, thick back nails into my left thigh trying to get away when I also took the opportunity to apply Revolution (anti-parasite medicine) to his upper back, which he hates. It literally looks like my leg was in a cat fight or met up with Jason. Deep, bloody, seven-inch-long red lacerations. I had to go for pre-op appointments today at the hospital before some surgery I'm having on Tuesday, and they put me on antibiotics to prevent any bad cat-scratch infection from setting in.
Buddy sometimes looks all luminous and innocent and sweet, but he's really the devil.

umm.... i estimate 10% of my body is covered by scars... from stabs, cuts, slices, burns etc...
scar on my foot where i sliced it open to the bone on the ball of the foot while swimming in a bayou, scar on my leg where a swiss army knife went all the way in, scars all over my arms from self inflicted wounds (don't worry i don't do that anymore) a brand i put on myself (rather big too... like 1 inch wide 2 inches high) scar in ht emiddle of my hand where a cat fish prong went all the way through it, scar on my wrist from when i punched a window, scar on my lip where i knocked a tooth out and it went straight through, scar on my ears and head (and even chunks missing) from where an evil cat attacked me when i was 5, scar on my knuckle where i 'punched' this window on our front door and it broke (i actually wasn't made or anything, i was just 'beatboxing' on shit and my hand went through the window..) scar on my finger where a M60 fuse burned ht eliving shit outta me (it's a firework) scar in the dead milddle of my forehead where someone through the break to a skate at me... (it felt like a rock, i thought it was a rock but i leanred later it was a brake... completely covered my shirt in blood too)

I honestly don't understand why people keep those furry minions of the underworld as pets. Cats are jerks.
I think the worst bruising I've had so far was from my first and only time I went snowboarding. After three hours of falling I couldn't even walk - I had to crawl to the car.

The other day at work I was putting a heavy plastic sandwich board display outside and I pinched my forearm skin between the two pieces of plastic.

I got a scar right on the bridge of my nose. I was playing with this little boy I use to watch in the pool. I went under water and was playing peek a boo with him. He got all exited and kicked me in the face. All at the same time his toe nail cut the bridge of my nose right down to the bone.
Mom wouldn't take me to the hospital she just used super glue in it.

"furry minions of the underworld. . . . Cats are jerks."
LOL! Wonderful turn of phrasing, Lucky G!
He was mostly being a jerk because I frightened him. He's real sweet and gentle and shy when he's not being woman-handled for grooming or medicating. My other cat, OJ, is an absolute love-bug!

I have some intense scars from my cancer. I had a pink scar above my left breast from my port (should have been on the side but I had too much breast tissue there) and my biopsey scar on the right side of my neck. The neck scar isnt bad but the pink one above my breast is noticable, ill post a pic when I get home.

I've got a bunch of scars here n there on my legs and knees mostly from soccer run-ins, but the worst (if you'll call it that) is on my eyelid lol. I got kicked in the face back in high school during a match and it cut open my eyelid, so the doc had to super glue it back together. If you look hard enough you can see the scar on my eyelid, but only if you're looking for it. ~

Sorry to hear about your injury............
At my sister's house, I fell down the steps, they are carpeted and slick, and about 18 in all. Well I fell down about 16 of these steps, because when I hit step #2, it was all over. And I didn't slide down on my butt either, it's like I was twisted up some kind of way. When I hit the bottom, I could not get up for a few minutes, and think I may have been knocked out for a sec. And no one in the house said they heard anything, no one came to help me!! Of course they were all high, but smoking doesn't impair my hearing. When I did finally get up, my foot was bleeding and I had the worst pain in my knee; I could barely walk. The bruise didn't develop until later, but me, being weak and low pain tolerant, went to the urgent care the next day, and had an x-ray. Nothing was broken, but the doctor said I had a bone bruise (which I had never even heard of prior to this) and the area above me knee was so dark purple and black it was not funny. Nothing I could do, he said. Just rest, elevation, and ice. And some Vicodin, lol. But it hurt for at least two weeks and the bruise didn't go away completely for about a month or more. Hope to never do that ever again.
