Just relaying a finding. I started 4 seedlings, 2 in 1 gal white gloss plastic and 2 in the 1 gal generic black nursery pots. They are about 3 weeks old. The 2 in the white pots have about 35% more growth. Just an FYI, everyone may already know this.

Indoor or outdoor?
Indoor, it shoudl not make much difference, although I prefer white because it adds to the overall brightness of the room...
OUtdoors, black pots absorb a lot of sunlight energy (heat) and are suitable for gettting started in a cool climate, but I would not use them in direct sunlight where summers are hot.
I suspect that what you are seeing is primarily coincidental.

I'm using large white plastic buckets for some outdoor pepper plants ... I chose white, to reflect the day's heat, but I'm wondering if the white plastic is opaque enough to block light from the roots ... so far, plants are large, bushy, and seem OK ... :smokin:

go for it ... I, like Stinky, like to use white pots indoors, just helps reflect that much more light in the cabinet ...
