Mine is somewhat close to yours. being left out in the ocean with no one around. scares the shit out of me not knowing what is below me and the thought of being eaten by a shark.:(

it's not actually a really horrible fear, but i really hate, i mean REALLY hate pitch blackness.... there's just something about not being able to see that starts my anxiety up.

i flip out and sometimes pass out when im around em....its annoying because i cant get any real medical help when i need it because the first thing they say is "piss in this cup, then we need to do bloodwork"...and from then on the only thought through my head is "hell no. no needles"...and i end up leaving before they get to do anything....but it makes me happy im not getting touched by needles. so i dont really care.

i dont fear death. because its manditory. and once your dead you cant think of the pain or whatever was killing you. since your brain isnt making thought. so you just get to be trapped in eternal nothingness for ever. but no thought or comprehension of time so you cant even tell. its kinda hard to explain. just, absolute nothing. but you cant even explain that because absolute nothing is a thought. and death = 0 thought. its fun to think about when your high.

that used to be a fear of mine too... i hadn't had imunizations since like 5 cuz i was so afraid of them... i absolutely refused 'em...

then i went to juvi and they found out... my god =/ that sucked cuz i had absolutely no choice in the matter... might as well of consider me a human pin cushion.... like 11 years worth the immunizations lol...

by the time i got out... i could peirce my own lip...

guess basicly you just gotta face it... i guess i had help tho as i had no choice like i said... then all my surgery's reinforced it even more...

oh and i used to be terrified of needles... even the sight of a syringe would make me get close to fainting..

Or, more or less, the idea that there is some horror out there that even if I sat down for 10 years and thought of progressively worse and worse things and situations, there is still something horrible out there that is so terrible and never possibly imagine no matter how hard I tried.

That's the worst case thing, though.

My more realistic fear would be losing my mind and not being able to make sense of anything anymore, but still remembering that I should be able to make sense of it, yet still not be able to.

Or dying slow of something like cancer. Healthy mind and healthy parts of the body yet still doomed to uncomfortable death and waning health until the day it finally kills me. Hmm maybe this should be my last pack of cigarettes eh?

I should be more afraid of knowing better about the things I do deep in my heart and yet still doing those things that fuck me over, like I've been doing my whole life huh? Come to think of it I am pretty afraid of myself most of all.

Oh man, I fear this more than death itself. I have suffered from stomach problems for as long as I can remember and if a toilet is not easily accessible, I start to get nervous - 'cause you never know when diarrhea is going to sneak up on you.

One time I was driving home with my wife (she was driving) and this happened. We were on the freeway with no exits nearby, much less a toilet. I was groaning and moaning, trying to hold it in. I think I scared the shit out of my wife. I was so scared I was going to shit all over the car.

We finally pulled off the highway and got to a gas station. I ran to the men's room. NO TOILET PAPER! So I actually ran to the Women's room (locked the door behind me) and let it all out.

Single worst experience of my life. The point of this little tale? It has only enhanced my fear of sudden diarrhea with no toilet around.

Sadly I have a lot of fears/phobias that have developed over the years.

My worst fear is dying. The idea of not existing scares the bloody shit out of me. Death is such an unknown.. is death the end of consciousness? Is there nothing or is there something? I hate not knowing and I can't think about it very long or I start getting ill.

I have a large fear of suffocating. I can be in a wide open area but if the air is stuffy (hot humid air) then I start freaking out.
I have a fear of insects, especially arachnids.
I have a fear of unstable high places. I'm fine on a plane for instance, I can look out the window and enjoy the sites but I'm scared shitless of say standing on a ladder or the edge of a long fall, like a cliff side or roof.

i have several fears:

snakes - i am terrified of snakes. i can't be in the same room as one, even if it's in a cage. i can't go into the reptile house at zoos. if i saw a snake on the ground next to me, i would pass out.

needles - i'm a lot better about this, and i dont pass out when i have to get bloodwork done, but i can't look while the needle is going in, while it's in, or when it comes out.

birds - they creep me out. and i'm scared that they're going to peck my eyes out or peck me to death. seriously, i really am scared of that.

falling - i'm not scared of heights at all, what i'm scared of is falling. even tripping over something on the floor is super scary to me. just losing control and falling, i don't know, it's always so scary to me.

i'm scared of dying - ceasing to exist. but that's not a huge fear, just a nagging fear in the back of my mind that i try not to think about too much.

there are certain ways of dying that scare me to no end:

being burned alive
being buried alive
drowning
suffocating
being eaten by a shark

i'm also scared of being in a horrible car accident. sometimes the thought of that scares me so much that i'll be scared to drive and doubt my driving abilities.

my biggest fear, though, is being a failure.

(damn it probably sounds like i'm scared of a ton of shit, but most of those - especially the ways of dying - are just nagging fears in the back of my head. i don't really think about those much)

My biggest fear is losing someone I love with a lingering hate for them within me. I could not bear the guilt, nor could I avoid the thoughts that would eventually give way to my suicide. So, my biggest fear is losing someone before I could let them know how much they truly mean to me underneath it all. I just don't know how to stop it.

And losing all control over myself would be another one.

I fear mental asylums, sanitariums, mental institutions, etc. I would hate to be stuck there, and I would even hate to see inside of it.

I fear old age.

I fear having my girlfriend (currently single) cheat on me. I also fear any of my friends fucking my girlfriend. That would absoluty fuck with me, it would throw a really big monkey wrench in my emotions. Because I would hate that person for what they did to me, and at the same time it would be so difficult because I care so much for that person. It would be very frustrating, and I know that friendship/relationship would end in an ugly, ugly way. It's something that can't be undone.

I fear being stuck in a home. I never EVER want to be put in one. I'd rather move close to friends/family who can easily take care of me. Even if I had to move in with them.

Some of these stem somewhat from my biggest fear. Most of all, I fear being alone. Sunsets get me depressed and always make me feel alone, I fucking hate sunsets... But lonliness, in many shapes and forms, scare the hell out of me.

what if you were in a pool and while you were under water and someone dumped oil on the surface, and light it on fire, and then when you came up you would get burned and then when you found a little spot where there wasnt any burning oil, a big guy just punched you in the face and covered the spot with oil?
