about dxm?

someone should tell me a bit about dxm before i try it for the first time.. how much to take? the high? all about it :)

www.erowid.org is the site u should definitely consult. I've never done DXM, and I'm sure any second the enjoyers of.... cough suppresant.... will log on and have a very long thread about how much cough medicine they drank. sorry for inserting my two cents about DXM in there not so subtly.

Is a dissociative like Ketamine and PCP. Make sure your source contains Dextromethorphan and nothing else such as Max. Strength Robotussin. If it has only DXM than occassional use is relatively safe. How strong your trip will be depends on how much robo you chug, try from 2/3rds to a full 4oz bottle for your first time and have a trip sitter present. Marijuana makes the experience a hell of a lot stronger.

I personally don't like DXM because I only feel good for about half an hour before I get nauseaous and then just feel 'dead' for 2 hours. After that its okay, a bit hard to comprehend stuff though. The day after you'll feel out of it, which goes go with a bowl. Some people really like it, so I guess it doesn't hurt to try.

^ also only take cough meds. w/ dxm(dextromethorphan or dextromethorphan hbr) as its only active ingredients, the best is robitussin max. strength cough or its generic equivilants. if the cough med. has other active ingredients it could be deadly or cause liver damage DONT USE TO GET HIGH.

I took half a bottle at first (Robitussin Max Strength Cough), and was glad to do that cause I got nauseous. I know that if I took any more than that I would've puked. So I'm happy I only took half. I waited an hour or so till the nausea went away, then I took the rest of the bottle. That worked out pretty well.

And yes, when you're peakin, it's a great idea to hit the bong. That definitely make the DXM pop.

pure dxm has same effects as as dxm found in cough meds. id say one 500mg pill will do the trick, and all the info and precautions at erowid applies also to pure dxm powder as well as the dxm found in cough meds.

*also make sure the dxm is in pill form, dont put the powder in your mouth it tastes like pure shit and it stays in your mouth for a while.

I've done a lot of dxm man. that shit is wicked but it can also kill you so if i was you i'de pass. I started with cough syrup and then to coricdin which is probibly why im so fucked up (Lol im not really). Anyway, my point is just dont do coricdin. If you gunna do it, buy some robo with just dxm in it. ;) have fun and make sure no one that can get you in trouble is around cuz they'll know your trippin on something.

Again, just to clarify, if you're gonna buy Robitussin in bottle form, make sure you buy Robitussin Maximum Strength Cough. Not Maximum Strength Cough and Cold. Max strength cough and cold has other active ingredients which are potentially harmful in large doses.

Robitussin Max Strength Cough just has DXM as its active ingredient. When buying DXM products, always make sure the product lists dxm as it's only active ingredient.
