towards the end of the year im looking at citroen saxo (vtr) or vts, but i would buy it standard and then modify it myself instead of buying one thats already been modified because it would most likely have a fucked engine due it the previous owner probably being a boy racer.

Anyway (not gonna buy a midified one gonna buy it standard) what do you think of these modifications these people have made to their citroen saxos.

Citroen : £1200 OR MAKE ME AN OFFER (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/188344.htm)
Citroen : Saxo VTS (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/197590.htm)
Citroen : VTR MODIFIED (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/197472.htm)
Citroen : 1999 saxo vtr show car (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/171075.htm)
Citroen : An offer you cant refuse!!! (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/161189.htm)
Citroen : 2001 Modified VTR (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/192341.htm)
Citroen : Modded VTR (http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/191301.htm)

im quite fond of those bucket seats aswell

all those cars look a bit personal and I would not want one of them...

I never heard of a citroen until this post... I googled it and see they are almost world wide and no US presence except for Puerto Rico...

Those remind me of a Dodge Colt or the old Rabbits or something. but maybe Im just old and don't know a cool car when I see it? lol

CC, I'd picture you in something a little more muscle-y or sporty or something. But I'm sure if you do get one of those Citroen things you could pimp it out good. yay wheels!

If I had to hunt around for a car in Europe I would be looking for a VW GTI for sure. I have always liked them, but the newest body style was a disappointment. The style I think 94-99 is my favorite.
Muscle cars are beautiful beyond belief but aren't European fuel prices even higher than what we are experiencing Stateside?

Yeah they are more like classic cars over here, its funny how different cars are more popular in different countries.

But im sure there must be plenty of people who are into and drive modified cars over there.

stinkyattic
07-09-2007, 07:50 PM
Yeah there are. One of the prettiest cars in town is my friend's custom restoration of a Karmann Ghia. All the extraneous trim is gone, it has been slightly and tastefully lowered, and it has a fresh paint job that looks like quicksilver in the sunlight and sharkskin in the shade. It's really unusual. There are several local collectors with Novas and Chevelles and even some nice Mopar stuff- my ex has a restored 69 Charger 440- but that antique VW is one of a kind.

Basically Japanese,,,Honda,Toyota,,,VW's for the rich kids...

stinkyattic
07-09-2007, 07:54 PM
lol around here, us po' fools drive VWs and the rich kids buy a Subaru WRX or add chrome and dubs to their SUVs.

If I had a dime for every customized Civic that buzzes by on the highway, I could afford a pretty nice car... those Civics get 'pimped out' so often that it's almost laughable how NOT custom they are... whatever you do, someone in the next town already did it.

CC man i feel sorry for you <.< to think you'll never really know the power of an american muscle... it's kinda sadening actually lol...

oh well i guess you're right tho, cuz seems like everyone in the uk wants one of those lil sporty compact import looking cars

slipknotpsycho
07-09-2007, 09:11 PM
oh partyguy, the camaro i posted is my dream car.. 1969 SS but i want a single black racing stripe, not dual white... i dunno whether to put some overside blower system in it or make it a sleeper tho (i.e. just looking at it, it'd look stock... but under the hood is unbelieable ammounts of power)

Hey dont get me wrong slip, im not saying their not good or fast cars, I KNOW they are its jsut that they're not my style really the cars that are popular in the UK arn't all bad either..

lol who the fuck is driving that? first they're letting it redline AND they're driving with a blinker on? lol.... about how fast is 220 kmh when transfered to mph? like 110 or somewhere aroudn there?

oh and i don't think they're all bad..... just like AM isn't your style imports/euro's aren't mine...

although i really wouldn't mind having a Mitsubishi 3000 GT tho... i like the body style on them.. it's like the masculine eclipse... but they got AWD to choose from.... i'm not a big fan of FWD's... not for the reason you'd think tho <.< FWD's tend to be REALLY cramped in the hood... hard to work on.

track is axle width. they were wider up front than rear, kind of like BMW bubble cars of that era.
