The oldest is about 1 month and 1 week old.
With 9 plants I have 7 girls....the other 2 are to young to tell.
Lights- 100w HPS, 70w HPS, and 150w CFL
They just started showin' hairs but I don't think I have enough light to finish.... Any advice to make them become phat buds?.... ;^)

How can you tell the sex when they are so young? I can't tell and mine are 6 weeks old.

:hippy: Well I always cut to 12/12 early...
As soon as the oldest is 16in. (2 - 2 1/2 weeks)
So even if young ones are sprouting, I still cut it.
Then in about a week or so there is some pre-flower...
But this strain sexed really early
*here a 2 pics* ( not too clear but)
1st pic- The ladies in the sun
2nd pic - you can kinda see the hairs a lil' bit

My bad,
It is suppose to say 16in. at (3 - 3 1/2 weeks)
But,
they are unknown strain, I had grew 3 different plants I got a few yrs ago...
2 girls and 1 hermi then I breeded the 2 girls with the hermi and got 2 strains.
This is my 2nd generation of crossing the two of them together...I still don't know what they are... :(
Here are some more pics!

You do have enough light to finish. Will it give you the big buds you are hoping for? No or maybe, I don't know what you consider a big bud. My very first grow was with 2 100w HPS lamps. I grew three plants, trimmed the bottom half of growth then the lower half of each branch and I ended up with 2 1/2 ounces. Buds were nice too. Not bad for a closet low budget grow.
If you can add another light, do so but HPS would be what you want. CFL's are mostly used for veg and HPS for FL. If you want the BIG BUDS then HPS is what you need.

Man, that's all I wanted to know!!! I love you for that man cause I thought I had enough light....but I thought another HPS would really make the difference ;) But I wasn't sure...I mean I've been growing for a little while now but I never had 7 fems out of 9 plants so I was bit scared that I might mess them up cause I didn't have enough light...I can do 3 fems without a prob nice med size buds but 7 of my lil ladies I don't want them to be skempy buds...but I think I know what to do.....

red petiole is either S def or strain related. my MTF have them but are healthy. If the leaf veins also start to show reddish, it's DEFINITELY needing some Sulfur.
You could use a HPS400 for the kids. Tehy will thank you.
Everyone, JA's habit of taking pics from the side AND top is a good one to get into for diagnosing problems!!! It makes things SO mcuh easier to see the structure, condition of low leaves, condition of new growth, etc.

Thanx stinky, I would love a 400 w HPS but I don't know even where to get one.... Most of my stuff is free...cause right now I broke...but when I get some money I make great setup!
I had to kill Skinny...it was a boy, lil' piff stopped growing(dorment stage)?
And besides theses spider mites I found today.... The family is looking good, just starting to bud...I keep messing with the 12/12 so I think they were a lil confused but now they are getting the hand of it....

Spider mites can be very dangerous for your plants. They can wipe your crop out. Adress immediately.

spray your plants with a very strong mixture of habanero peppers and water for the mites... have you thought looking at lil piff's roots?

For lights, try High Tech Garden Supply (http://www.htgsupply.com). You can get a 400-watt HPS for like $130.

After reading that first post about the mites I freaked out and sprayed them with some soapy water (dawn).... well the plants didn't die and it "looks" like it killed most of the spider mites but I still see them...
*so I'm gonna try this pepper juice you speak of......
*Yeah! I'm about to check the roots on lil piff ... I was thinkin the same thing
*Thanx I'll book mark that site and get one as soon as possible

your only solution to more light is well, to buy more! :)
in your situation a HPS light would be ideal and give you the biggest buds....but you say you're poor so really your only option is more CFLs.....
sider mites.....neem or einstein oil. I read a post awhile back where someone swore by those hot shot pest strips you hang......just turn off your circulation for a day and let the chemical in the strip build up and thats it.....for your garden you might need 2 or 3 of those, but I have never tried those strips.
wherever you live look up Hydro or Nurseys .... if you can find a nice Nursery or an actual hydro store you will have access to the best products (soil, nutes, pest control)
you can also order online from say BGhydro.com but obviously you know the risk I'm sure of ordering shit online when growing.....maybe have a friend help you out there
good luck man plants are looking good, just take care of the mites ASAP!

Well in a drunken rage I killed the spider mites (warm soapy water that was a lil bit too warm, pepper spray that burn my hand, and insect spray that stinks) I also damn near killed my plants I very mad at myself...... well there dying right now but they are not DEAD as of now I'm just working on saving them.... I had also added a small amount of miracle grow(I don't know why I decided to use it, it fucks up everytime I do) I'M GOING TO GET A pH TESTER TODAY! I'll post some pic to show what happens when you get too drunk and angry around your plants....
Oh I never knew how much a 400w hps was......that a great price...I'll get one next time and some clean pots...(that where the mites came from,a dirty used pot from outside) I was doing so well...this was going to be one of my best grows...... so I'm about to start over before the summer is over, I GAVE LIL PIFF TO MY FRIEND I had washed it roots and re-planted it... I hear it doing well in its new home....:)
all I can do now is flush them with egg shell water and hope to bring them back to life as leaves fall off from the bottom.....:(

guys the best and safest way to kill spider mites is to always plan ahead and anticipate them...flowering buds are a magnet for these little critters...once infested its hard to completely get rid of them without causing major stress to the plant.
so what to do?
Buy "Fungicide 3 in1" by Garden Safe ($12/bottle at Home Depot)...this is a great organic product that not only prevents all forms of infestation but also prevents mold and allows you to foliar spray the plants right up thru week #8 of harvest...yep you hear me right...if you were rountinely spraying your babies with this stuff you can foliar spray them with water mixed with a light organic fertilzer solution...its 80% organic NEEMS oil
how to apply?
mix one teaspoon of Fungicide 3 in 1 with water in a typical 32 ounze foliar spray bottle and also for added measure you can add a small amount of your favorite "organic" fertilizer..I like Fox Farms products, and always add it to my foliar solution...about "half" a capfull of Fox Farm Tiger Bloom to the NEEMS oil foliar solution.
this way you accomplish three (3) things:
1. fungicide--mold can NOT grow easily in this enviroment
2. Spider Mites and other critters avoid your plant and can NOT
lay their eggs in your planst soil or on the undersides of those
larger fan leaves near the bottom of the plant.
3. foliar fertilizing directly to the growing buds...always good if temps are warm at night (I will explain below).
but its best NOT to spray your plants with the lights on..the NEEMs oil can cause leaf burn to the petiole (leaf stem)..so its safest to apply it after the lights go out or about a half hour before they are first turned on..this allows the NEEMs oil to dry completely on the leaves and act as a guard against mold and critters...and it does NOT effect the taste of your buds...its clean.
so, do this about twice/week during the Vegetative stage and once/week during the Flowering stage and keep your foliar spray bottle filled with this combination: fungicide/fertilizer solution.
also for those outdoor growers, its best to NOT foliar spray after week #4 of the Flowering stage (that's when the buds start to get fat), if the temperatures at night dip below 60 degrees...when it gets cold at night, that's when MOLD can form on petiole (leaf stem)and cause bad taste..so warm temperatures are what you want when you foliar spray flowering buds outdoors. You want them to dry out after being sprayed.
with indoor growers this is not as big a problem since temperature is better controlled when it gets dark in a grow closet.
also foliar spray the underside of those fat fan leaves..that's where the spider mites lay eggs to shield them etc...
thus you can be biug and mold free right thru week #8 of flowering stage or evn longer if your lighting is poor..less lights means smaller buds and more time beyond week #8 to completely finish.
p.s.
do NOT use any fertilizers in your foliar solution that contains Nitrogen after about week #7...you want your buds to taste better...just use somethings with Phosphourosus/Phosates only at that time in the flowering stage.

nice plants you got there on your next grow you should grow some lowryder you could fit alot of those little plants in your room and they grow fast

Molasses at 1tbs/gallon could increase the density and weight of your buds. Pretty much harmless as well.

also try Baby Talcum Powder as a good spider mite preventive measure, when setting up intially your grow room.
Talcum powder annoys most hairy insects and effects their respiration and many insects too.
I spray it in all the corners of the grow room (top and down) and also in the entire home. Spiders and many insects will stay out of such environments...that's an old school and very effective spider control technique that is popular in SoCal and cheap.
I spray the grown room liberally at the corners (top and bottom) with Home Defense and let it dry out before starting the grow operation; thus acting as the intial barrier and you can do the treatmnentagain later if ncessary.
p.s.
you can use that 70% Neems concentrate "3 in 1" by Garden Safe right into flowering (weeks 1-6), but cut the dilution down to 50% less than you used during Vegitative stage...the sulfur taste of Neems takes some time to work out of the plants system;
and follow that up with a heavy week of "flushing" during week #8 using CLEAREX to get that taste right.
also Clearex actually helps the plants cure a little uicker too. A 3 gallon pot should be flushed with 6 gallons of Clearex diluted water solution...do that 2 or 3 times before harvest and flush that plant!
