Is smoking Newports kind of an acquired thing? I can smoke anything else and feel fine but Newports make me so lightheaded and naucious(screw spelling). I can only usually get Newports because I can't buy cigs at the store and everyone I chill with smokes them.

well newport filters are 100% fiberglass where camels are 100% cotton, marb menthols are 50% fiberglass, not sure if that would make a difference in what your talking about but it defintly makes a difference in health. theyre all bad but some are def. worse, i stick with marb reds.

Marb Reds are my favorite, so are Camels, but I can't usually get them.

i like reds, but newport 100s can always get me lightheaded still... otherwise i haven't really gotten lightheaded from cigarettes in a long time

just have the kids u chill with get u the cigs u want. or find a low end gas station with a ghandi dude and be like giv me a pack of watever and if he asks for ID say ur wallet got stolen. those stores make the money from underage sales, but thats around here not sure about where you live.

there isnt fiberglass in menthols, newports or otherwise. menthol is what makes them feel cool, not fiberglass. that is why they are called camel menthols, not camel fiberglass. menthol is harmless, though menthol cigarettes like all cigarettes are bad for you. before you respond to this saying yes there is, look it up. have a good day.

Menthol is also found in candy canes if you believe it or not....but NO, THOSE aren't addicting...WOW imagine that. Menthols are no more worse for you than non-menthols...

im talking about the filter not the actual tobacco. ive seen many places most commercial menthol cigs release tiny chunks of fiberglass, and Parliament,American Spirit and camel are some of the few that use all cotton filters. but i wasnt trying to start argument just stating what ive read heard and know

you seem to be new to the concpet of basing what you say upon actual evidence over what you heard someone say in junior high. since you didnt take my advice and look it up, ill help you. there is this site called google. you type in what you are looking for info about and it pulls up pages that may have said info. in case that concept is too hard for you, which evidently it is, i have provided you with this helpful link:

I smoked Newports for 25 years because all my friends were white and hated Newports, so I did not have to worry about their cheap broke asses begging cigarettes off of me.
But I got smart and after 31 years of smoking cigarettes, I quit and have not looked back in over four years now.
Cigarettes are bad and you are too young to smoke them anyways, so quit while you can.

I've nnever have bene able to get into smoking, I'll smoke one or two cigarettes a everday for a week but for some reason i'll easily be able to get off it for the next few days without even thinking about it. but i DO get easily irritated when not having it for a few days after having it everyday for a week. no cravings though. weird eh? :o

Im the exact same way. I can smoke cigarettes if I want, but in no way have I ever gotten addicted. I've been smoking cigs forever, but never do I crave them. I can go months without 'em, but usually smoke 'em if someone is offering to bum me one.

yes. most people that smoke newports for a long time have made their grave and are just waiting to fall in it.
newports are HORRIBLE. what's worse is that most people dont even like them, they just smoke them cause "it's what everyone smokes"

I hate some Newports. Me and my gang smoked 'em for a while. They tore me the hell up. I switched back to Marlboro/Parliament Lights. They tasted like crap for a little while after smoking menthol for so long. All cigs are extremely bad in every way 'cept maybe flavor. But I feel much better now than when I smoked 'ports. If I smoke even a few of them back to back or whatever, I get awful headaches and followed quickly by bronchitis or smokers' cough or something. I'm convinced that Newports, even when compared to other menthol cigs, are by far the worst thing you can smoke besides crack.
