In the Dallas area, it's 87 and we're having these pop-up, violent thunderstorms. The humidity is nearly 70% on our back porch. So it's sticky and nasty.
Normally by this time in the summer, it'd be cloudless and sunny and averging 97 degrees or so every day, but we've had a very rainy spring and early summer.

It's 65° in Middle of Bumfuck Nowhere, New York. I hate living in the mountains. It's always cold, even in July. This morning after breakfast I had to climb back into bed and get under the blankets to warm back up.

sorry. Most of us are voluntarily illiterate.
There's no other explanation for why we still use archaic forms of measure.:wtf:

No need to be sorry I use a mixture of imperial and metric. I mean I use metric for most things but weight and height of people I can only relate to in lbs/st and ft/in. But if I was geting some groceries I would have to work out lbs in kg or I wouldnt be able to think how much that is. Its really strange.

I dont even know if Farenheight and celsius are forms of imperial and metric anywho.
I use imperial for everything, apart from boat building, [i use MM for building stuff precisely]

I dont even know if Farenheight and celsius are forms of imperial and metric anywho.Celcius is metric. Farenheit is arbitrary. There is no Imperial temperature measurement.

07-11-2007, 05:22 PM
Metric, Imperial, Archaic, or Arbitrary, it's almost indescribably unpleasant.
I am in Western MA, in the Connecticut River Valley, where the summer air sits stagnant on top of you like a sweaty hippopotamus.
My bedroom is on the third floor, along with 2050 watts of HID lighting. The ballasts throw so much heat that even with an a/c running at full blast, I could not get temps below 95.
I slept on the damn sofa last night.
It was either that, or the hammock in the back yard.
If it weren't for the pack of coyotes that have been poking around my 'hood, the hammock would be preferable.

Said her name was Mimi
Sounded like an angel come to Earth
But when I went to meet her
Man you shoulda seen her
Twice as tall as me three times the girth
Oh my fat baby loves to eat
A big ol' Budda belly and
Her breasts swing past her feet
My fat baby loves to ea-eat
My big ol' fatass baby loves to eat
