It's not really clear flavor. They have "invisible" Kool Aid, where you mix it and it looks like water but it tastes like grape or cherry or whatever.

Kool Aid lemonade is also popular with kids having lemonade stands in the summer.

We were middle class growing up and drank Kool Aid.

My fiancee still ONLY drinks Kool Aid, but you are supposed to mix it at a 1cup sugar:2quarts water ratio, with the mix, but he uses about 2-2 1/2 cups of sugar, so it is very sweet.

I won't allow my daughter to have it, as it is not very healthy, especially her dad's recipe, lol.

the most popular clear flavor is strawberry kiwi...when we make hunch punch for parties, that's what we use, since it's clear...so if people spill it on the carpet, it doesnt show up

Kool-Aid is just a powdered drink mix that flavors water so it tastes like a sweet fruit drink. Kids love it. Cherry and grape are the most common flavors. I know you Brits must have something like it. Do y'all have Crystal Light drink mixes in England? Crystal Light makes powdered lemonade but also cherry and other flavors. And I know there are canned and bottled fruit punches that are mostly sugar water that kids drink over there because I've seen them in stores. Next time you're at the grocery, look on the aisle where they have bottled soft drinks and juices. Somewhere in that area will be a small section with powdered drink mixes to add to water. I expect you'll find something very similar to Kool-Aid.

This is gross, but I was reading in the newspaper a piece about regional Southern (U.S.) foods, and one of the ones they mentioned were dill "Koolickles," which are dill pickles that have been marinated (after they're already pickled and the vinegar brine is poured off) in Kool-Aid, ideally cherry or fruit punch flavorered Kool-Aid. Anyone remember the Purplesaurus Rex flavor?? That was my fave flavor as a teen, they quit making it. I make my own by mixing lemonade and grape but it isn't quite the same.

CC, I think Hi-C is available in Europe. It is kind of like that. I haven't made or had Kool aid in years but the key is to rinse the envelope it comes in with water to get all of the powder out. There has to be something like it in England. Imagine Gatorade without the salt and 4 times the sugar!
