Hello everyone,
After reading / lurking for about 6 monts I have decided to join this community and take the plunge into growing myself. I would appreciate some feedback on my grow room plans. I have a grow area that is 12 X 16.
I have installed 4 600watt digital lights and I am planning on growing a total of 30 plants under them. I will start 15 plant and in 4-5 weeks add 15. I thinking that when first 15 are finished I will add another 15 clones and get a harvest every month.
I purchased 2 of the ebb and grow systems (picture link Hydroponics, Hydroponic Supplies, Gardening Systems & Nutrients Online Stores (http://www.hydroasis.com/hy/largeView.aspx?Id=114)). I thought that they came with 5 gallon buckets, but they dont. They have 2 gallon buckets. Right now I do not have the money to replace the bucketts, but I am planning on doing that later. What I want to do is to be able to veg my clones in 5.5inch net pots then place the netpots in the ebb and flow system using bucket lids.
My main question is can I just use hydrotron in the net pots and not in the buckett? With just 2 gallons of room I am thinking that there will be more room for roots with the growing media in a net pot and not filling up the buckett.
Any thoughts on this ?

Sea of green. Harvest half each months. That's what I had going on but smaller. Yes you will have plenty of root space with hydrotron in net pots. You should be able to grow some big trees in that system. Start it up and show us some pic's.

Btw to see it set up you can search either "pro hydro" or "dives photo grow log" in the grow log section....I have run that bucket set up as flood an drain and also as a soil setup w/drip system.
