Never seen a Dayton timer, which certainly doesn't mean they don't exist.

Be willing to bet that the Dayon unit is either a thermostat or a speed control.

Yeah, pic?

Dayton unit's a thermostat.

Wire humistat and thermostat in paralell, so close of contact on either unit will power blower.

Squirlcage blower- duct from square end out of space. Caution- easy to touch blades while blower is running, will remove finger tips.

i think im missing some wires....The only wires are on the blower. 2 of them, about 10 inches long
Is there a know link somewhere with pictures?...like a 'how-to' for dummies, ha
i don't know beans about wires and such

Post some pics on this forum. I can help you with the wiring, but I'm not going to sign up for a bunch of spyware just to see your pics.

If you click "Post Reply", you should see a "manage attachments" box farther down the page. Click it and you can download photos here.

The thermostat and humidistat are simply switches. Essentially they are going to either open or close a circuit to either allow or deny energy to the appliance.

Considering the controls you have, the square, fan-like device may be a dehumidifier. The dehumidifier should hook to the humidistat.

I can't see the wires coming from the fan very clearly. It looks like there are two cables with multiple wires inside. Is this correct? If so, one cord goes to your electrical source and the other probably goes to your switch (the thermostat). Is there a cord end (plug) on one of the fan wires?

Somewhere on the fan and somewhere on the fan-like device there should be a manufacturer's id plate. You should be able to search the manufacturer's website and find a schematic of your appliances.

The contacts on the humidistat have writing on them. this might correspond with connections of the de-humidifier.

Sometimes, often times, electrical appliances have schematics on a sticker inside the case. You can look inside the fan-like device and see if you can find a schematic. If there's a removable cover on the fan, the same applies.

Anyhoooo - essentially you have two appliances and two switches, and you know which one goes with which appliance, so now what you need to do is figure out which wires on the appliances go to the power source, then we can figure out how to hook up your switches.

If you take any more photos of you holding stuff, put on some gloves. No need to put your fingerprints out over the internet.

Do either the fan or the fan-like device have a cord with a plug - or would that be asking for things to be too simple?
