Yea, i just figured this out during a kb/keef session. Turns out i just hate assholes. but because of white guilt, if a Puerto Rican person, black person, so on is being a douche bag, i cant do anything about it. i have alot more to say, but im high so help me develop this idea.

Assholes give their race a bad name, however I do not condone any racism in any size shape or form. Blame the individuals, not the race.

First let me say I live in NC, the south, and prejudice here does still exist, of course not the same as the 60's or even 70's, but some people are just racist and always will be.

Studies have been done, here's just one on the matter, that if you have a "black-sounding" name, you are less likely to get call-backs for an interview to a job. You could just say that is a prejudice against names, and if you are white and named Khadijah, you are fucked too, but realistically, how many times is that going to happen?

"Carries and Kristens had call-back rates of more than 13 percent, but Aisha, Keisha and Tamika got 2.2 percent, 3.8 percent and 5.4 percent, respectively. And having a higher quality resume, featuring more skills and experience, made a white-sounding name 30 percent more likely to elicit a callback, but only 9 percent more likely for black-sounding names." And last, just let me ask you, when you say something negative about someone, how do you say it? Sometimes things you say can be misconstrued, but that is really the case in anything that you say, people are objective and sometimes interpret things differently.

OK when I was very small :) some black guy tried to rob my bike but then after i ran away, RUN AWAY! , ok I cycled away into a corner shop owner wasn't happy but wtf he came after and the black guy said I was being racist to him eventually he left. that was entertaining no? And then later I saw him again :wtf:
and he tried to steal my bike again he had 3 other guys there :eek: I cycled into a school while there i let someone try my very handsome bmx but he just gave the black guy (jamz :( ) and he commanded his stooge (cHUCKKA) to rob me right there :D but the joke was on him hehe i had nothing on me :D and some teachers gave me the bike back and apparently someone saw the three stooges running for their lives and changing clothes and everything hehe

I am human with no color and I see no color on other humans. However I have not been with anyone outside my race, which is caucasian... However, I am not racist, I just believe in staying with my own. :thumbsup:

I'm as socially liberal as you get, but everyone is racist. I mean, everyone has racial biases. It's a matter of how much you let your biases control your decisions and life, but bias is nonetheless still there. Group identification is a product of evolution and ain't going to be disappearing entirely anytime soon.

Consciously and publicly, most of us are colorblind. And most of us, most of the time, under most conditions, believe and act on that cultural requisite. Youâ??d have to be insane to publicly utter racist remarks in todayâ??s society â?¦ or temporarily insane, which both science and the law recognize as being sometimes triggered by anger. And alcohol â?? recall Mel Gibsonâ??s drunken eruption about Jews, or the college Frat boys slurring alcohol-induced insanities about blacks and slavery in Sacha Baron Cohenâ??s film Borat.
The insidiousness of racism is due to the fact that it arises out of the deep recesses of our unconscious. We may be utterly unaware of it, yet it lurks there ready to erupt under certain circumstances. How can we know this? Even without anger and alcohol, Harvard scientists have found a method in an instrument called the Implicit Association Test (IAT), which asks subjects to pair words and concepts. The more closely associated the words and concepts are, the quicker the response to them will be in the key-pressing sorting task (try it yourself at https://implicit.harvard.edu/implicit/).

The race test firsts asks you to sort black and white faces into one of two categories: European American and African American. Easy. Next you are asked to sort a list of words (Joy, Terrible, Love, Agony, Peace, Horrible, Wonderful, Nasty, Pleasure, Evil, Glorious, Awful, Laughter, Failure, Happy, Hurt) into one of two categories: Good and Bad. No problem.

The next task is a little more complicated. The words and black and white faces appear on the screen one at a time, and you sort them into one of these categories: African American/Good or European American/Bad. Again you match the words with the concepts of good or bad, and faces with national origin. So the word â??joyâ?� would go into the first category and a white face would go into the second category. This sorting goes noticeably slower, but you might expect that since the combined categories are more cognitively complex.

Unfortunately, the final sorting task puts the lie to that rationalization: This time you sort the words and faces into the categories European American/Good or African American/Bad. Tellingly (and distressingly) this sort goes much faster than the previous sort. I was much quicker to associate words like â??joy,â?� â??love,â?� and â??pleasureâ?� with European American/Good than I did with African American/Good.

I consider myself about as socially liberal as you can get (Iâ??m a libertarian), and yet on a scale that includes â??slight,â?� â??moderate,â?� and â??strong,â?� the program concluded: â??Your data suggest a strong automatic preference for European American compared to African American.â?� What? â??The interpretation is described as â??automatic preference for European Americanâ?? if you responded faster when European American faces and Good words were classified with the same key than when African American faces and Good words were classified with the same key.â?�

But Iâ??m not a racist. How can this be? It turns out that this subconscious association of good with European Americans is true for everyone, even African Americans, no matter how color blind we all claim to be. Such is the power of culture.
