Folks, there are hundreds of us who could write a letter like this! My friend, Windsong, used to be very active in politics. She told me of "smoke filled rooms" (and it wasn't tobacco smoke, either) that were also filled with San Diego politicians. How many of them could she write a similar letter to?
How many of us knew, or were acquaintances, of well known people who toked? Who did YOU light up with? Politicians, movie stars, tycoons, businessmen.... Who did you know, way back when they were young potheads?
This hypocrisy has to stop! And it will stop only when we get off our arses (yes, it's an old, but proper, word for what you think it means)! - Granny:hippy:

First, what an eloquent letter! Second, I don't think it's hypocritical of anyone to oppose what they once indulged inā??times change, people change. But thirdly, the change can also go the other way, as I used to be the only success story from the DARE program, Mr. Drugs Are Bad For You, and, well, I'm part of the dark side now. :rasta:
