Just incase you don't know, you can keep all your icons on your desktop but hide them when you don't need them. Right click Desktop>Arrange Icons By>Show desktop Icons. If it's ticked they are showing and if not ticked they won't show. I do this on my laptop since it's smaller.

The OS is Windows Vista, but the theme is Classic which is Windows 98 I believe.

I dunno how to take a screen shot of the desktop, but it's this picture covered with a whole bunch of AutoCAD, file folder and JPEG icons all the way across. I seriously need to put all this stuff somewhere and free up the desktop. The pic is an egg nebula.

A shell theme shouldn't take up any extra memory, or nothing noticeable anyway. If you use themes that require 3 party programs then you will notice the difference sine they need to run in the background. Not a good idea to use them in my honest opinion, they use RAM and CPU power, they will also use your battery power quicker and slow down your boot up since they run automatically on start up.

Lol, no need to be pissed about it, it's all good.

Yeah I don't see why not, as long as it doesnt come with the lil' widgets you're fine. Everything should be in a seperate download anyway. The ShellTheme and Wallpaper should all come in one .Rar file.

its actually very easy and uncomplicated just go to your desktop view hit the Print Screen Button then open up windows paint and hit ctrl + v (paste function) then save it as a jpeg file.

well you might have a new version then they probably put those themes on version bought after 2004 when they launched the new versions of xp. i got windows xp pro sp2 but i dont have those themes but i got this copy of windows in 2003

Unless you plan on doing design, or music, trust me you don't wanna' be a Mac user. People have this misconception that Windows is awful and Mac's are the nuts. I can assure you they are not. Mac's are extremely limited in comparison to Windows. Trust me if you get a Mac just because you think it's cool you'll bee very pissed off when you find out that you can no longer use half the software you used on your Windows Machine.
