I haven't heard of this type of grow light before. Has anyone got any info, or even better had any results?

I have a "envirolight" mine is made by Hydrofarm, I use it during the first month of veg and it's great, I have a 125w and I use it on as many as 6 plants at a time (with some plant rotating) however I find it best suited for use with about three plants at a time from sprout to about ten inches tall, then switch to HID lights, but you could use it all the way through veg. I like it mostly because of how close it can be to the plants, like 1cm from the top of the plant is ok and they grow like CRAZY, very dense foliage.
Here is a pic of one of my plants vegged under an enviro light (I put it under HID 36 hours before this pic) plant is one month four days old. :)

Those leaves are beautiful. I'm thinking about setting up a seperate area for cloning + some degree of veg growth. Envirolights sound like the perfect candidate. Cheers mate! :)

If anyone cares, I am doing an entire grow with my Hydrofarm CFL, the strain is BBxSkunk, now at about 2.5 weeks flowering and looking good. I will post some pics later.

those lights run a hell lot cooler than normal hps or mh so thats one main advantage, however the luemns output is not as effecient as an hps or mh, still good for veging

i used a 125w fluoro last year with master kush from start to finish.
3 plants - master kush in 3 gallon pots.
i got the light and reflector from ezhydro on ebay. it is a dual light. i started with blue and simply flipped the light over when i went 12/12.
it worked like a charm. heat is very low. i could spray the plants with water and not worry about popping a very hot HID bulb. electric costs were barely noticeable.
here's a link -- it worked (and is working great for me)

They are good lights esp for the summer when the grows start getting hot. We're up to 200w's in the U.K now and hopefully they'll carry on getting bigger from there. Would love to see a 1000w variety that'd rock, hopefully we will one day. :)

Been using envirolites for a year and I grow and flower under them , absolutely no complaints .
Low running costs.
Virtualy no heat.
Longer life.
No noisy ballast.
Winner all the way as far as I'm concerned.
