Good luck and DO NOT BUY the 1st car you look at. Please...today is a good day to narrow it down, take some drives..then tonight, crunch the numbers, ask some questions,,then go pick up your car tommorrow..remember, your gonna have this car for awhile, so you wanna be happy you made the right decision based on your own personal situation..but anyway, have fun and dont let anyone pressure you.

Right on...
and with the price...do your best to compare it with the prices on kbb.com or edmunds.com. Just so you have a negotiation tool for you...just to make sure they didnt pull the price out of their ass. LOL

Yeah, there are lots of nice 4 doors..
Have you gotten todays newspaper yet?
That is a good place to start..
you can usually get a better deal from a private seller than a dealership. Just depends.

LOL. I hate to say this...

but American is probably not a good way for you to go right now..you will incur way more maintenance cost on an American car.. mostly in the price range that you are in..best bet, of course..is an Accord, camry, corrola, civic...something like that..

Wow, good luck, Slip. I agree...don't buy an American car. Hope ya get a good deal.

I need to replace my car soon, too.I have to change the tires first before I get into an accident.

we found one... went to pretty much every car lot in town, and looked at pretty much every car in our price range...

first we were thinking about getting this pontiac bonneville (95) but it had 160k miles on it, and really bad breaks...

we got a ford taurus (green) with only 50k miles on it (96) for 3,500.. everything works too (Windows, AC..)

This is something I have to do. I got 5200$ back for insurance on a 2000 pontiac sunfire with 50K klicks on it. So bunk.

=/ nope i cant.. had to have the car fixed already -.-

nothing major... the keypad for the alarm system was kinda screwed... somehow the system got armed, i managed to get it to work to disarm it once and had no problems, but then i couldn't get it work again...

we had th edealership guy have a wrecker come get it to just all together disable the alarm system so it's not a problem...

=/ got my wife really upset too... it's a damn nice car... but well... go try to start your car with the alarm activated <.< it just won't happen.. so we're having that taken care of (free, ain't costing us anything so it's ok... in comparison our other option was entirely shit >.< easily 1k worth the work needed...)

oh yeah yes i know they can be easily replaced, but we'd just rather not have it at all... not enough crime in this area to worry about it anyways...

Buy American. But not Ford. I hear it costs more to make a car then they make selling a car. Therefore every car they sell is loosing money. So do them a favor and don't buy from them!

lol, I hope that makes any sense whatsoever...

i'm not a fan of fords either.. but meh w/e...

160 for a car going on 13 years old is not terribly bad. i actually got a 95 with 60 g miles when i graduated but that was a find.

and brakes are easy to replace it probably just needed new pads or shoes.

you shoulda found a chevy!

it was ford or pontiac... the pontiac also had some other problems... it just... didn't look to be in good shape.. sure the body and interrior was nice, but the way it ran... meh..

yeah i know it's not THAT bad... but 50k > 160k <.<

160k is way to many miles..good thing you didnt choose that one..it would of cost you a shit load just to keep it on the road..taurus's are ok cars...the used market gets flooded with them because most are prior rental cars...that is why the prices are always so good on them.
