View Full Version : Oh the choices... C99? Mandala?

For my next few grows, I think I'm going to try cloning, and keep growing indoors in dirt. I'd like to use two really solid strains, one with more of an indica effect and one with a more sativa effect. And preferably, both with low or uncharacteristic odor and similar grow/flower speeds.

My first choice was Cinderella 99 coupled with Northern Lights. Both good, solid strains, with low odor and similar grow times. Both are really popular among small growers. I'm a bit concerned about all the F2 Cinderella strains out there though. Are they not as good? And who would be selling the better seeds?

My second choice is Mandala's Satori (http://www.mandalaseeds.com/html/satori1.html) coupled with their White Satin (http://www.mandalaseeds.com/html/white_satin1.html). I've heard a lot of good things about Mandala and their seeds are cheap and perfect for cloning. But they seem to take significantly longer, and seem like they'd be out of the question if I decided to try growing them outdoors. I live up north, and any plant that finished in October would be dead long before then. Also, I haven't heard too much about either of these strains.

So, anyone have any suggestions, or pertinent experience? I'm running 4' T12 fluoro tubes for vegetation and a 400 watt HPS for flowering. I'm planning on doing 8 plants at a time. Thanks! :smokin:

would probably go with mandala they may finish outdoors for you or atleast be close enough to harvest by the first hard frost you would just have to try to see how they do.

Thanks. Any reason for your recommendation? I've heard a lot of good things about all of these strains, really. I'm sort of leaning that way now, because Mandala seeds are probably cheaper and the quality seems more reliable, however not many people seem to have experience with either of these strains, so I just have to take the breeder's word for it, it seems.

I have quite a bit of experience with Joey Weed's 'NL99', his northern lights x cinderella99 hybrid ... Joey's Cinderella 99 is outstanding, VERY stabilized ... I think his combining it with Northern Lights, produced the 'perfect plant' (for me, anyway) ... Mike Mandala also produces super-good strains, he takes a back seat to nobody (I prefer sativas, while Mike concentrates more on indicas) ... it's your choice, both sources are outstanding, and, each are priced very reasonably, it's nice to see guys like Joey Weed, Mike Mandala, and Motarebel, all producing top-quality gear for the love of it ... not your typical greedheads ... :smokin:

Mandala for sure...i'm currently growing Hashberry from them and the plants are unbelievable...they are outgrowing all the other plants in my grow room...the others are Nirvana's and they're literally half the size of the mandala plants and are twice their age...these plants have true hybrid vigor...the growth is unreal TRUST ME...MANDALA ROCKS and their Satori is their breeders favorite variety...it must be some good shit

Hmm, after looking around on other sites I think I'm gonna go with Mandala for my second grow. Satori looks really good for a sativa plant, and now I'm leaning toward hashberry as my choice for an indica plant. The hashberry matures a little sooner, but the sativas should probably be picked sooner anyway, so they can probably be harvested simultaneously, which is nice. Neither seems to have a really skunky smell, so that's a bonus. And both can tolerate a lot of heat, which is great for my hot attic.

yea the Hashberry was in hightimes top 10 strains of 2006 so i think it should be good...i'll post some pics of my hashberry which are bout 10 days old...they're growing great and i think u'll like what you see...i've got a pack of Satori and Kalichakra that i'm gonna do on my next grow because there both sativa's that look mighty good in their descriptions...after bad experience with KC Brains and their horrific germ rates i went straight to my Mandala's and never looked back...i'm just a medi user and i need something inexpensive i can count on...Mandala seeds appear to suite many peoples different needs...My hashberry's are all uniform and are displaying the characteristics the breeder claims(GOTTA LOVE THAT!)
