So.. I have a drip hydro system, and noticed that distilled water you buy from a the grocery store that is just on the ailse and unrefrigorated is still pretty cold. does that mean that in general you need to have some kind of aquarium water warmer in your rez?

also, I have a 10 gal rez and the pH goes from 5.5 to 6 overnight, I've seen this question/problem a couple times. Is a larger rez the only way to fix?

hiya i am having the same issues with ph changing 3-4 times a day with my aero setup, palerider also ahd these issues with his hydro setup but found when he switched to a bigger tank/setup the ph stabilised pretty much, could be the answer.

Also, you do need a heater in your res, i think the optimum temp is around 22deg celcius, but i would double check that, i'm sure that is what i'm aiming for mine to be. you can pick them up from aquarium shops for around £15, (around $30 i think, maybe less over there), mine cost me £12 for one for a 200litre tank,(200watts) so not too bad. hope it helps:)

I ran the same size rez. after a few days of new rez change it would to that but level out. After a week I only ph downed once a week. Water temps should be 68 degrees for best oxy content.
