since im taking two semester long classes in about 5 or 6 weeks, its like double or triple the work.

all this biology is cramming in my head like crazy. i can feel the new neuron fibers in my head developing everytime i understand and learn a new thing. haha.

but seriously, this is intense. i had an exam yesterday and another one today. then a quiz on wednesday and another thursday.

bring it!

i know the feeling man, i had a really intense semester last semester, and im going back at it with my most intense semester yet in august. it gets draining at times, but it'll pay off. stick with it, and remember to take a break to smoke a bowl and de-stress when you need and you'll do fine:thumbsup:

I concur. You just have to stick with it. Smoking helped me comprehend chemistry, that's the only time it made sense, now I enjoy it. School can be tough, especially if you have a job too, which is why I had to change to part time school hours, cause I got a full time job, but good luck to you, just try to stay focused on the "big picture" and you'll get through it.

Dudes, I'm a teacher's aide/ tutor and former college student (been twice, so far). Here's my advice-

1) Get a tape recorder! Read the text of your book into it and play it over and over! You will learn it! Tape recorders are also good for those of you who are verbal (as opposed to writing) people. I had a guy who could barely write, but could tell these wonderful stories. I had him tape his stories and then go through and transcribe them. He got a "B" in his English class (he had an "F" when we started!).

2) Get it done early! The kids thought I was crazy getting started on my term paper a few weeks into class- when finals came around, THEY were going crazy trying to study and do the term paper. Mine was all done and I could focus on the finals! And this goes for regular assignments, too! Do them early and never put a paper off until later. .

3) Write stoned! I did most of my papers stoned, but I would "clean them up" straight. My ideas flowed beautifully, but my spelling totally sucked when I was stoned! (Graduated with honors, incidentally) One English teacher said she saved my papers "for dessert" - she thought they were that good! Math, for me, was a disaster when I was stoned, but I'm not a "math person".

4) Eat a healthy diet! Yeah, I know, that doesn't sound like a study tip, but it is! Your brain just won't work as well of a steady diet of junk food.

Good luck in your studies! - Granny

i'm taking summer classes right now too, but i'm taking a light load - one class per session/month, so last month i took a journalism class, and this month i'm taking care of my fine arts credit with music appreciation or something....my semesters are always killer, and stress me the fuck out, so i try to take it easy during the summer, but still get some classes out of the way :)

my freshman year of college, i took a winter intersession class - i came back from christmas break 2 weeks early, and took a philosophy class in those 2 weeks....which was a nightmare. a semester of philosophy in 2 weeks??? eh it sucked...i worked my ass off, and stayed up until 5 am studying every night...we had a quiz every day, and a test every couple of days. it was horrible, but since i worked my ass off i ended up getting an A!!

but just relax, take a few smoke breaks to clear your head and get a little creative :) i was actually supposed to take biology this summer...but at the last moment registered for music appreciation instead
