We have a fish tank its now just cold water fish we have in it, it used to be tropical, I bought it for Mrs NCM when she got her degree at university as a well done. Now it just sits there, other than cleaning and feeding it does not get much attention other than when the grandkids are up, they like to watch them.

Excellent pics by the way!

Cheers

NCM

We have a fresh water tank with an 11" Tiger Oscar and a 9" Black Shark (catfish). Also have a marine tank with three little Yellow-tail Blue Damsels.
They are all enjoyable.

my dad has a 45 or 5 gallon tank that I used to help him take care of. I have two fish bowls with bettas. Once I move to a bigger apartment I'd like to get a tank. Its so relaxing to watch the fish

Freshwater fish are by no means boring/bland/ugly. Granted, the number of saltwater gems outnumber the freshwater ones considerably. You just need to know what you're looking for. Everything I posted is freshwater. I can post some freshwater fish that will blow your mind. Thing is, Petco and Petsmart never carry the good stuff.

the so-called world's largest aquarium (atl, ga) is within walking distance of my campus, so i don't need a fish tank in my dorm :D
that would be neat to be blazed at the aquarium, though, i'd never thought of that before

I have a 20 gallon one with 3 HUGE fan tail gold fishies. Ones all black, ones calico, and ones just orange. Their names are Larry Flynt, Hugh Hefner, and Gizmo. We had snails too but they ate them...

I have a 60 gallon tank which holds my 8" red bellied piranha. I'm soon to buy a larger tank as i want to house a small shoal of between 5-10. I also wouldn't mind buying a little 10 gallon for some neon tetras. I love those little bastards. They're realy colourful.

My little sister has a fishtank, it's nothing compared to yours though. She has little freshwater fish in there. One of them gave birth to like 50 little fish a few weeks ago, it was insane.

crunkjuice, there are alot of pretty ciclids if you get into fresh water fish. they have personalities and are great to watch. we have koi/commetts in our pond and a turtle who decided he didnt want to live there anymore. i hope he made it when he crossed the road to the lake. im thinking of starting a saltwater/reef tank or a discus tank. im leaning towards discus though.

Not the greatest pic but it shows the two tanks - they're connected together:

Very nice tanks guys! David I've seen yours on RC before.

I also have a reefing/reefer addiction...Sad part is I thought reefer was expensive, but the reefING cost me WAY more.

Will post pics after I'm allowed. Think its 50 posts so it may be awhile...

Wowwww... Oh crap, I just remembered that I forgot to pick up a fish on Friday. I'm just going to get one of those plants with the siamese fighting fish underneath, so you don't need to feed either of them, they just eat each other's droppings.

As an aside, I highly recommend that people with fishtanks invest in some live plants - we had a few in our 25 gallon that sustained a dozen-plus fish for months without any flake food - we even had to trim them back, they were growing so much!

Nice looking fuge.

I know Ive often thought the 1000 watts of light over my fish tank could be a LOT better served in a grow room.
