I took 2 online IQ tests and I scored a 134 and a 137...I just wondered what those numbers mean, if anyone knows. How accurate are these tests?

137 is ur iq number thats good ur very smart (and have good noledge at movies) we should all post out iq on here and single out the simpletons and bully em lol

The first one was one of those Tickle tests, so I'm not sure how accurate is it. The second one I found online, just surfing around.

How do I figure out my actual score? Do I average the 134 and 137? Do you know of any other online tests that are valid? I would like to take another.

I did two tests for Mensa - one at age 17, and one at age 23.
The first test, I scored 135 - puts me in the top 25%, I think.
The second test, I scored 157 - puts me in the top 2%
They wanted me to join, but I dunno...I just envisioned alot of swots crowded over logic puzzles...not really something that causes me great excitement lol

The trouble with Mensa (partly the reason I declined their invitation) is that they think that their members are of an exclusive bunch...to certain extents, they are right, but it is wholly uncharitable of them to regard themselves as above anyone else.

These IQ tests aren't a measure of your knowledge, they are just a method of assessing your lateral thinking capability and logic.

Like the question on that website:
"A clerk in a butcher shop is 5' 10" tall, what does he weigh?"

It's as much about understanding the question, as it is thinking about the answer.

yea... mine was mostly a vocabulary test.. with a few puzzle type questions, like "what shape would come next in this sequence"

I too did the mensa test and my wife we both had similar scores of mine was 147 and hers was 151 my step daughter who went to public school was she didn't take the mensa test but one of them test your IQ got 160 + with no prior knowledge of the test Questions...about Mensa what they do is send you assignments and you send them your answers

Dunno whether she's still a member.....

Anyways, I like brain-teasers and logic problems, but as with most things, one can get too embroiled in such activities lol
(apart from smoking weed, of course...that's a 'life-sign-up' lmao)
I guess that I just shy away from organised stuff...too many rules, and not enough free-thought :p
But, I could quite happily unpick a big knot for hours.
The thing with knots, as with anything problem like, you have to look at it first...see how it works...then, you can begin to unravel the thing...taking time to step back, once in a while, just to make sure that you're still on the right track ;)

Anything is possible, given time, patience, and understanding :)

I don't know about the tests because cultures have ways and sometimes the tests are biased. There can be some pretty smart "book smart" people but when it comes to real life situations they are as stupid as can be.
I don't know if I put alot of stock in those tests.

Who's to say the person with the high IQ is going to have any work ethic, common sense, or even a sense of humor? It's just a small smidgeon of what counts in life. I mean, you've seen Jeopardy, how many of those ppl would you actually like be friends with?

Still, I'd love to be able to say my IQ is high, that's why I took the test in the first place. :rolleyes:

theres an einstein one or something like that online i took. its timed and shit and its pretty long, has a pretty good mix of q's too. i scored the 149. i doubt anyhting online like that is accurate though

IQ tests are really bias. I have taken a IQ tests from TIckle and recieved a 120-140 score. if you want a truly hard IQ test and an unbias IQ test go to www.highiqsociety.org/noflash/nonmembers/iqtests.htm I manage to get a 110 on their IQ test
