Blue LED Grow Lights
hi I was thinking about getting some led`s for my mother plant`s and clone`s
has anyone used this lights ?
Do this lights produce plant`s that look similar to cfl`s of cool whit (6500K) ......
spindly whit a large gap between node`s (internodes spacing )
or more of a compact plant such as a plant under a M.H light ?

LEDs are not energy efficient. Why re-invent the wheel? Fluorescents and HIDs are time-tested, proven champs. How many successful grow logs are there w/ LEDs here.....(answer = 0).
I looked at the link you provided. Do a little math and see what your base cost per lumen is vs comparable systems....does $10 per watt sound reasonable to you...? If so, there's a bridge I think you might be interested in...

Well im look for a way to have 3 grow room`s
1 mother / veg room
2 flower room`s
the flower room has 2 2'x4' E & F I have a 1000w MH / HPS that I want to change to 2 600W (1200W) digital hps this is for flower only.
Mother room is 1 175W MH and 2 6500K cfl`s and 5 mothers in dirt
what I am thinking abut is to veg 6to12 plant`s in a 2'x2' e & f tray this is for veg only but will be in the same room as the mother`s
( 6 plant`s pr 2' x 4' tray in flower 6 to 12 in veg and 12 to 24 clone`s )
if I used say some cfl`s for 2 week`s and a 400w MH for 2 week`s in a veg room
for 1 month will the plants have a godinternodes spacing ?

Do a search of this site for led's - there's one thread where someone grew the same strain simultaneously under HPS and led's and compared the grows. As I recall, the led grow was pretty spindly looking.
If you research led's I think you'll find that many people agree they are the thing of the future for growing, but that the future is a long way off yet.

I only grow in the winter (6 to 8 months pr year)
having a large WATT`S grow setup as for a big power bill is something I`m trying to avoid but on the same hand I`donā??t want to sacrifice yield or quality .....running 1200w for 12/12 is not to bad (60 - 80 $ pr month )
it`s the mother , clone & veg room that use the most power $ $ $
I`m just trying to find a god setup that is not to over kill on the electric bill !

Take a look around your house, not just your growroom, and save every kilowatt you possibly can. Replace all your incandescent bulbs with cfl's. Makes sure you only use lights in the room you are in, conserve power every way you can.
Clones, truly, need very little light, so the savings with led's would be miniscual. The mothers you want to veg quick, so you aren't going to like what led's do to your mother plants.
Better you should find your power savings outside the growroom. If you are only growing in the cooler months, are you using the waste heat from your hps to heat your house? That alone could save you some significant bucks.
