Book Forum

I just signed up today, and I don't know if this has been suggested or talked about. I notice that there is a forum for television and movies and things, I was just wondering why there wasn't a seperate one for books/magazines. Like a place to discuss books, what you're reading, reviews, reccomended authors and books. Just a thought.

Im all for this, even though i dont really read books but still a good idea as im sure a lot of people here do.

Yeah, that was the only problem I could find with a book/readers forum.(if there was a lack of avid readers, where there wouldn't be enough people to keep the forum alive.) Although, it seems as if there are plenty of people here and I'm sure some people read enough to make it somewhat interesting.

i like the idea, but i think a book forum would be dead as hell after a few weeks, if a thread in there titled something other than favorite author or book got to double digits in replies id be stunned. basically i just research on my own for books to read as i dont like one particular kind, just the good kind.

I don't think it'd die. A lot of people could have read the same book, there could be discussions about them. There could be a what are you reading thread in which you state the book and tell a little about it. There are plenty of possibilities.

:thumbsup:Good Idea, Sonic Titan...and who cares if only a few people post there. It is better than a hundred imbicilic threads about "Damn I'm high and I just drank a case of forties. Where do you think is a good place to hide my weed from my mom." Just because things are popular does not make them admirable.

I am new to this forum (but not to this planet)...but man is it depressing to think that smokers do not read. Is it any wonder the non-smoking public sees marijuana users in a bad light? People who do not read should have their weed (and their televisions) taken away...some of the greatest artists and intellectuals, and scientists of all time smoked weed. What has happened to the world?

I'd say it would just as popular as say the science board, if not more so, it a large form of entertainment that allows for lots of different tastes, I'm sad to see it has yet been implemented.

we Should start our own cannabis.com book club!!! I started a book lovers thread and it got like 10 hits. not much. more people should read, i mean i love tv as much as the next guy, but a good book will always trump tv.
