I saw the book Hi-Yield Homemade Hydroponics and How-to-Hydroponics. Are either of these good if your trying to build your own system? Or can anyone recommend a book that has good tutorials for building your own system? Thanx friends

Do some searches here you will find many systems to build. DWC, areo and drip systems are easy and can be cheap to build. I used a drip and work well and very cheap on parts. If you want to grow big go Deep Water Culture. Do searches on these. You don't need a book. Many here will help.

You could also look at the Growing Edge website
The Growing Edge - Hydroponics, aeroponics, aquaponics, greenhouses, and more... (http://www.growingedge.com)
They've got a lot of useful stuff.

ebb n flow looks to be reliable. Does anyone have any homemade plans that would be easy to set up. Or know where you can buy flood and drain fittings locally?
