Hello all, I'm bored as hell, so I'm going to tell the tale of how I became the complete pothead that I am today. Feel free to tell your own tale, I'd love to hear it.

It all started in the womb. My mother was trying to cut down on her cocaine addiction durring pregnancy, so she smoked a 1/4oz (her estimate) of mexican pot every day to make it easier.
Then I was born, At that point she had 2 boys who were rather annoying durring long car rides, so she devoloped a solution that I will probably use when I have kids. She would roll up all the windows in the car and smoke a joint to get us a bit of a contact high and shut us up.
When I has about 3-4 years old we lived in a toxic waste house in the shit hole town of Perris California. One day my mom handed me and my brother a ton of mexi seeds, and told us to go plant them in the yard, we did, they grew, and my mom enjoyed the fruits of our labor, she was proud.
My parents had smoked pot in front of us kids our whole lives, but only when I was in 3rd grade did I find out that it was illegal.
6th grade, when I went into the D.A.R.E. program, my mom pulled me aside qand told me, "If you tell them that I smoke pot, they are going to come take you away, and I'm gonna let them!!" So naturally I said nothing, we have a good laugh about that conversation from time to time.
7th grade, within the first month of seventh grade I smoked Marijuana for the first time, it was a magical moment. My friend and I were riding out bikes through the city of Orange, CA I was ahead of my friend, and was crossing some train tracks, there were two kids standing by the train tracks who asked me for a lighter, so I told them my friend has one and will be along in a minute, he arrived, and handed them a lighter, and they pulled out a cigarete pipe. They asked me If I wanted to hit it, and I did without hesitation.
Between the ages of 13-15 I was a god damn tweeker! Alot of crime, alot of false friends, I wanted out! So I decided to quit, this was hard until I started smoking pot every day, then it was simple.
16 years old I started selling mexi pot, it was a good way to make all my smoking cheaper.
Also at age 16 I moved from Orange to the shit hole town of Highland, C.A (the town Beavis and Butthead are from) Where I found myself without weed for a month or so, then I started meeting people, making connections, but was too broke to get enough to start selli8ng, so I did the middle man thing for a while, it sucks, but it will keep smoke in your lungs. Also I made a hobbie out of growing mex seeds in my back yard, not top qualty, but It tought me a thing or two.
17 I got a good connect that would front large quantities to me at a good price.
18 arrested at the San Bernardino adult school for selling pot, got 3 days time served, got home from jail, and my connect called as I was walking in the door, wanting his money, I told him I got caught and needed more weed to make his m,oney back, 12 hours later he was paid off, I was ahead a couple hundred bucks, plus had a QP or so left.
19 left highland, and went to work in the Redwood national park with the California Conservation Corps. I was sober for 2 weeks.
6 months later They shut down our paradise in the Redwoods, and I moved to Humboldt county. My first month in Humboldt a friend of mine dumped trashbags (literally, no bull shit) full of the bottom branches of an outdoor crop on me and some friends laps, because of this my 20th birthday cake was the biggest pot brownie the world has ever seen.
In Humboldt county I only had 2 grocery stores within walking distance, but there were 3 hydroponic stores, what a place to be!! So I got a good lighting
system, and started growing in my closet. Learned the in's and out's of indoor horticulture.
Then at age 21 I moved near Seattle WA where the weed just dosent have the love that it had in Humboldt, but there is little work in Humboldt, so I'm stuck in WA until I find a way to afford to go back.
Well thats my story, I hope anyone out there enjoyed it.
peace

You lived in humboldt county? Im jealous.

Cool story, I wish my path to pot-head was as exciting as that. I just gradually started smoking everyday til I got to the point where I wouldn't be able to support my habit unless I grew/sold it.

Why be jealous, anyone can live in Humboldt if you dont mind sleeping on the streets or in the park. Go to the city of Arcata, food not bombs will feed you if you go to the square around noon or so, if you chill at the endeavor I promise someone will get you stoned a few times a day everyday without fail. You can take a vacation out there to be homeless for a few days, and have a great time.
Med clubs within walking distance all over the place.
The grass is greener on Humboldt side, prices at rock botom. Why the fuck did I have to leave! It makes me want to cry.

Sounds like fun. I've always wanted to live in a park. Maybe I'll take a trip out there one summer.

Did you get to wander through any fields of marijuana?

Peanuts and all the pot you can smoke! What more do you need besides comfort in knowing you won't go to jail at any moment.

Why do we have to let rich bigots make our laws.

What do you mean by tweeking? On weed? You can't tweek on weed man. Doing crime? While high on weed?

This is what every politician looks for to keep the drug war going.

keep up the good work! :)

Don't mind 'em, Dave. They're young.

Did a couple years in SOMA ( South of Market Ave, San Francisco). I knew what ya meant.

" So have yourself a cup of joe
and watch the world go 'round, because
Those damn blue collar tweekers
They have always run this town..."

Nice story, DJW! I enjoyed reading it. My brother moved out to Arcata for about three months, most of which he spent tripping. He wasn't able to find a decent job, his money ran out, he moved back to Iowa. :( And I was planning on visiting him that summer....
