Awesome! Very nice.

Why is the guy just laying there in the end? Looks like he got a Tool-ing and was seeing stars.

well, maynard had him in a choke hold, while restraing him so he could sing that part, im sure he was gasping for air, aside from geting flipped on his back. im sure he got the wind knocked out of him... maynard is like a purple belt in a kind of brazillian jujitsu, not a guy to fuck with. it looked like maynard punched him a few times also.

black belt + army training (he was in the army once) + the adrenaline rush of playing in front of a sold out crowd = one fucked up fan

Heheh I just remembered this too... here's a photo taken from the show I was at last September. During one of the songs this huge dude, built like a football player, comes out wearing a tutu, and starts dancing around.
Maynard introduced him after the song once he was off the stage as "Helga" LOL

Yeah...he was a marine.

You know tool hates their fans? Thats what my friend told me, 'cause there always tryin' to interpret their songs and do a terrible job of it or something. He told me about this incident right before saying they hate their fans.

^ thats complete shit, Maynard likes the fans to interpret any way they want. Thats why he waits to post the lyrics to the songs.

Dude, I was at that show. Bad ass. :stoned:

Also, if you watch that video carefully, you can see that he kicks the dude right in the groin after he's got him pinned.

What I really think is funny though, is how he all opened his arms as if to give the guy a hug, then WHAM.

Ghosty, did you get to see them at the Orpheum? That was bad ass too. Nothing compares to that last Lateralus show at the Excel though, back in September of 2002. That was the most amazing concert ever. The performance, the lights... holy balls, maybe I'm being pessemistic but I don't think I'm going to ever see a concert that awesome ever again.

^ their stages are always awsome. I loved this years plain white stage with the effects that were projected onto it. A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Oh and heres the new Puscifer logo

No, I tried SO hard to get tickets to the Orpheum show... they sold out in under a minute... I had a freind waiting to call the minute they went on sale, then after being told that they might release more tickets after the initial batch I kept trying to order some with no luck. I was so pissed at a small venue like the orpheum it would have been mindblowing.

It was a good show, but not worth the absolutely INSANE prices people were paying for it on ebay. Actually, the sound went out for like 15 seconds right at the end of Aenema, the last song on the set. Wouldn't be surprised if they did that on purpose just to piss of the jackasses who spent like $600 per ticket for that show.

Maynard shows good form and it is evident that he has fight club skills.

He served in the U.S. Army as a recon specialist, was accepted to the prestigious West Point but opted to study performing arts instead.

I saw TOOL last month here in Orlando. I was hoping that someone would jump on stage!:gunfighter2:

Maynard actually did a perfect-form Judo flip there, and a classic judo/jiu jistsu chokehold. Makes me wonder if he's had some training, or if they just teach them that in the army (some bases teach judu, jiu jitsu, and occasionally Aikido).
