wireless isn't as reliable as a wired connection. there's all kinds of interference with wireless that simply doesn't exist with a wired connection. for example at my house, we set up a wireless router about 2 years ago and it worked great, but now that it's caught on we always get the networks from our neighbors which somehow blocks out our own wireless network. i'm not that much of techie so i don't know why that is, but i know that's a problem that i personally have had with wireless.

if you have two modems you will pay double you're cable bill and it will be like you have to pay two internets. Also idk if you have a router and just made a mistake or if you only have a modem but modems don't have wireless capabilities routers do. You'll have to get a router, hook that up to the modem, and then run a wire from the router to your xbox 360. Wireless is unstable
To the poster above, what kind of router do you have? You can block your neighbors from using your connection by putting a password on your router. Which I would highly suggest because your neighbors could be using your connection for illegal activities and/or be seeing the logs of all websites you go to very easily. ( you can also see all the ones they go to)

yeh my routers got a password ... not because they could do something illegal but because nobody's getting a free ride from me

i don't know what kind of router or how it's setup now, my stepdad did it/runs it, but no one uses it anymore anyway. all of the computers in the house are wired and i only live here a couple of months of the year anyway, so no worries :)

then you're extremely lucky...the PSN forum is flooded with people having problems with wireless modems/routers... i'd imagine the 360 forums are probably flooded with the same...
