Pretending love

is their a way to pretend love? Example trying to convince yourself you love someone, but you know deep down inside you have lost all connection with this person. Or staying in a relationship that ended years ago, you just stay because its all you know. But when you around this person you try to act like every things ok but you know deep down your rotting.


So do you think theirs really ways of pretending love, and has anyone gone through this?

for me.usually when its over its over. I'm usually pretty pissed off thats its over mostly because I don't love that person anymore and alot of it was due to natural reasons. I've accepted it and I'm moving on.
But I can see how someone would wanna stay in a relationship like that, people are afraid of change, they are very comfortable with this person and although they may not love them the same way as you started off with, a part of you still does love them and not wanna let go.

Been there.......the last 5 years of my past marriage. Cut your losses because sooner or later it'll happen. Everybody has the right to be happy and just pretending isn't healthy or productive for either party.

Been there too in first marriage.
Love is complicated enough without pretending to be in it.

i never have to pretend, if a girl gets on my nerves and pisses me off, i cant really love her, but i have only loved a few girls, not all of them, some were and are just there, and some i care for deeply, it just depends on the connection, how you meet, shit like that........
