HELP! What Am I doing Wrong?? PICS!

I am growing 6 plants in my closet. they sprouted about a week ago and a couple of them are suddenly seeming to die. :( I have no idea what is causing this, but here are some pics of them.


They aren't very good, but hey, shitty camera=shitty pics.

yea, what kind of lights are you using, are they flourescnent or incandescent etc. and how many of them do you have?

Well I was using a 150 watt uhh lamp guess you could say, so i guess i just answered my own question.

I just went out into my garage and found a 750 watt incandescent...

Will this do?

I really dont have alot of money to spend on fancy lighting... and Im going to transplant them outsite as soon as they get un-sensitive enough to transplant.

crap lighting. Crap planting. You want to plant them up at the top of the pot, now they're in shadow. move the lights, if you're gonna use those rubbish ones, as close as you can without getting the plants hotter than 30c tops, and hope they'll survive another week. Though I'd replant them properly and take them outside.

yea incandescent lights are useless sorry to say, you need either expensive HPS (High Pressure Sodium), MH (Metal Halide) lights or cheaper CFL's (Compact Fluorescent Lights)

In your case id go try and find some CFL's, they're cheap and they work, those incandescent bulbs are doing nothing but creating heat.

Well, for one thing, i turned the lights off to take the picture becuase the pics were too bright with the lights on.

As for the new light, i actually dont know what it is. i assumed it was incandescent, but maybe im wrong. i hope anyway. but thanks for your suggestions.

The new lamp i found is pretty much the exact same thing as this. I'm pretty surf it's halogen. Will that work??

yea, the three lights i told you about are all that will work...that and sunlight...sorry to poop on your perade, but halogens dont work either...

its all about the lumens those other lights ya showin wont put out enough lumens for em to grow cfls are ya best bet or hps but they cost a lot more but are much more productive
