So for my birthday instead of getting a present and having a shindig, I'm going to go see a show. Now theres two that I REALLY want to go. The first one is Slayer, the almighty Slayer, Slayer the Gods of Metal, you get the point. My other choice is my favorite death metal band that doesn't tour a lot, Vital Remains. I have no clue what to go to, and its seriously pissing me off. I've never been faced with such a hard decision =(

Hm...well think about what you would be most satisfied with afterwards...think about which band would put on a more enjoyable show

You might want to see Vital Remains since they dont tour a lot and you will be able to catch Slayer later on in your life...

Id choose Vital Remains

Yeah, I'd see the band that tours less, too. You never know, it might be their last tour, your last chance to see them. How cool would it be to see it on your birthday? :p

But Slayer, they're not going anywhere. You'll be able to catch another show of theirs in a few months.

The thing is that Slayer tickets are usually expensive, and they NEVER have played in CT since they got big. Plus Slayer is getting pretty old. I think Vital Remains will keep touring, plus they are more obscure so they might come to CT. Deicide came to CT once, so I don't see why Vital Remains won't. Plus I don't think Glen Benton plays live with VR.

if this is the hardest decision you've ever faced, feel oh so fucking lucky.

im not a slayer fan, dont even know the other band. but slayer will likely come back around again, from what you've said.

Find out, man. I would hate to go see a Led Zeppelin concert, only to find out that Jimmy Page has been replaced. It wouldn't be the same without him!

Good for you man! :) I've never seen slayer myself, but I sure would love to. I really want to see Iron Maiden again. It was the most amazing show I'd ever been to, seeing maiden, but they only played songs from their first 4 albums. Great as it was, I don't feel like I've really seen a whole maiden concert.

Be sure to tell us how the concert went:thumbsup:

Now, that is something I would gladly attend. I didn't know John Bonham passed away, and Page is still alive and well, as is Plant and Jones. The three of them together, with Bonham's son should make for a very good show. I haven't heard Bonham's son play, but if he plays anything like his father--he should do just fine.

yeah, john bonham passed away on september 25, 1980...asphyxiation from vomit was the cause of death, i believe. his alcoholism caught up to him :(

that show should be totally sweet....i'm gonna try my hardest to get a ticket (hahahaha i doubt i'll be able to afford it), but if they go on tour, hell fucking yes i'm gonna definitely be there. i'll be in france next year, so if i can get a ticket, i'm hopping on over to london to catch the show!!!!! my mom asked if i would rather them pay for me to go to greece or go see zeppelin in london, and i was like "definitely zeppelin!"...and it pissed her off haha

Wait!-You're the girl with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair? My love, I have been searching for you for so long. My waking hours are spent in loneliness, a loneliness that is subsided when I think of you-the girl with love in her eyes and flowers in her hair. Haha! I can dream, can't I? *sigh*
