Well, I was just watching the news and it said the senate "esentially killed the immigration reform bill", so I guess you're in the clear. I don't know a whole lot about it myself, but would I be correct that the bill essentially wants to grant amnesty and citizenship to any illegal imigrants already in the country? I also heard that those people could bring in all their families, I don't see how that could be sustainable. Still, it would at least have the immigrants paid legal minimum wage and paying taxes, rather than just leeching off the system. I'm not really making any arguments either way, this is just the information I know.

We need to clean house, the senate, the whitehouse, the house of reps. and the illegals, Put them on a slow boat to China, Mexico or points south. I've nothing personal against latin people, I just think they should fix their countries instead of invading ours. and as far as the politicians, good riddance.

lost jobs are only a part of the problem. it isn't that low paying jobs are going to illegals, but that they are staying in those jobs. jobs that are traditionally considered "entry level" are held indefinitely by the unskilled, leaving no room for citizens to enter the workforce.

another downside is the strain on our infrastructure. a majority of the illegal aliens are living below subsistence levels and are therefore entitled to an inordinate amount of public assistance. this country has a hard enough time dealing with its own poverty without importing 20 to 30 million new applicants to the welfare rolls. throughout the southwest emergency clinics and trauma centers are being strained to their limits, many forced to close, because of the floods of illegals who use them for their primary care. they know that they have to be cared for in case of emergency whether they are capable of paying or not.

the most devastating effects of a universal amnesty would be the social consequences of increasing the population of the country by 10% with a group who has little or no interest in assimilating into the american culture. past waves of immigrants, though they have kept a separate identity for a time, have integrated into the american melting pot, adding bits of their own cultures to improve the overall character of our society. this wave of illegal immigrants have come as invaders. their first acts on american soil are to thumb their noses at our laws and our society in general. with an air of entitlement, they take everything that our government is willing to give them and then claim that it all belongs to them anyway. far too many have no wish to become part of america, but to make america part of mexico.

We'll have 12 million new people wanting just pay for the job which will drive up unemployment/welfare here because that isn't happening. THEN we can have a new wave of another 12 million to replace the "under pay" jobs that the first group left behind.

Boot all their asses over the Great Wall of Uncle Sam and pay the "U.S. citizens" a just wage to buy their goods with.

Who said I couldn't agree with you, I certainly do on this subject. I had an illegal concrete finisher tell me when I was driving a concrete truck, after an exchange where I said "hey, you're in America, speak english" He said, "No gringo, you are in northern Mexico and you better learn spanish, we're taking over, getting our rightful lands back". I thought he was full of beans, but it turns out he was right.

I have four felony convictions, am currently on felony bond, have noticable tracks on my arms, and I'll have a decent job the day after i'm ordered to by a possible future parole officer. Or at least someone with a tax id # who'll say i do. If you can't get a job you might be retard. The obvious rival in the coming years is china, population 1.5 billion. 10% may prove insufficient, yon chan, he has a lean and hungry look...
