Hello,

We have alot of experianced growers out there in ganja land. I would like to see if there is anyone interested in doing an experment with a few seeds Do you have a few to spare for science?
What i have in mind is trying for mutants NOT HERMIES.
I want wierd leaf patterns and weird growth rates, climbers and ones that vine, and even ones in a hanging basket.
How do you get a mutant without making a hermie?
Who wants to try to start a mutant X strain?:stoned::pimp::smokin:
If we can get enough people we can start to keep a record of our progress, what we did and upload pics if possible.
now with that said who is interested?

This needs to be moved to cultivation.
What you want is this:
-Aussie Bastard Hemp- weird ass leaf structure
-Ducksfoot- also a bit odd looking
-Vortex (subcool seeds)- said to be a funky freaky strain, I have seeds but haven't started them yet
-OGKush- Grows long very flexible branches that could certainly be grown as a cascade

I love freaks.
Check the grow lounge, 'everybody loves a freak- the mutant thread' - it's old but has some pics.
And search for polyploidy- that condition rarely allows a seed to even germinate, but when it does, watch out, you'll get some freakiness.

what i want is causeing it to get freaky on purpose. like putting the seeds under the mmicrowave for a week or something.
anyone have any ideas on how to get your freak on?

would you really want to smoke it afterwards though if you somehow nuked the seed into a mutant. I highly doubt it would work, you probably want to start looking in to crossing strains, the types stinkyattic was explaining. If you mixed combined those you could probably get some new freaky looking plants

Most mutations will be either unnoticeable, or disrupt something in the plant or seed that will render it sterile. Even the polyploid condition, when chemically forced, will result in germ failure rates in the 90% range!
Stick with freaks that are from solid lines where the mutation or special trait comes complete with an otherwise functional plant!
