Where do you go on late night drives? Im not sure if we all have them, but i surely do. When i drive at night i usually head to work, start at midnight. But when its my day off i go to the store to get some munchies..Or the typical late party.:stoned:

I enjoy driving at night - hardly any traffic so it's even safer to put my foot down. I usually end up on the same bit of road - a little narrow country lane near my house - absolutly great for puttig your foot down and testing the cars handling, and you can use both lanes coz you can see everything infront.

Otherwise i'll find a strip of duel carriage way and put my foot down.

I had a Fiesta ST turbo for a couple of weeks and took it out, ended up getting it to just over 130 before i came up to a speed camera [so i had to slow down]

The M25 is great though, day or night time [as long as there aint tailbacks]

A friend of mine has an old Escort Cosworth and we ragged it about a 3 am - no idea how fast we we're going, but the wheels stick to the white lines.

My dads mini used to do that.

Driving fast in really good cross winds is great - one minute your in your lane and the next you've been blown to the other LOL - i supose that's dangerous if theres other cars though.

I still find driving fun - coz i make it fun, but all the people who abide by the law 100% get bored and say it turns into a chore - like shaving. It's looses it's novelty if you like, but i say it's like sex, spice it up and you wont get bored.

i love to drive... i can drive for days.. On my days off work i like to go into the desert and lay my foot on the pedal. I once out ran two cops hiding in someones private property. I was passing this huge ass truck and it was a sheriffs truck and he called a chp on my ass, i had no idea he was a cop until i started to pass him at 125.. WOOPS i just kept going as fast as i could until i found some were safe to lay low for awhile

I take the bike up into the Berkshires and cruise around the back roads, or up Rt 5 into Vermont, where the scenery starts to get really good and you can see the stars better with no lights from traffic or houses.

Nothing better than a late night ride on the scoot. Besides the bugs and the deer..it's all good.

Have a good one!

Yeah the bugs may be irritating (extra protein, especially if you are smiling lol) but my aunt's riding buddy was killed hitting a MOOSE in the Adirondacks... 4-legged things worry me.

But my favorite part about taking the ol' yellow vibrator out at night is the smell of the summer air- at different times of year it carries different scents. These past few days, all the wild roses have come into bloom and the air is heavy with that almost sickly sweet smell.

And the currents of cold air that slide down off piny mountainsides are as refreshing as diving into a lake when you're on the bike.

You just don't get any of that in the car.

Deer are big enough...I couldn't even imagine hitting a moose!

Nice thing about a Harley hun is that BIG ol' windshield......it takes care of most the bugs but you always have a few that slide by or the splatter effect when they hit the edge.

Have a good one!

lol i think the windshield on the ninja is strictly ornamental. they all end up on my helmet. and my leathers need some attention too... i'm starting to get some comments on the Stinky's Museum of Entymology...

theres this highway that leads to this single laned state road...the scenery(sp) is beautiful... it's hard to describe....think marshlands-tropical-stary night-full moon... it's long but it's perfect for a joint or a blunt. and no one uses it....except truckers...then before it ends it leaves me right back home.
i do it by myself all the time but when i go out we usually do that first;)

Well I don't drive anymore cause I dont have a car anymore, but when I did, I used to love going and driving around the lakeside drives in Minneapolis (Lake Calhoun, Lake Harriet, and Lake of the Isles) and toking.

Still do it, I'm just never the one driving anymore

I use to enjoy going for a midnight drive mainly down the freeway for some speed when the conditions where right...

But lately I don't enjoy going out much anymore at night too many run-ins with other crazy/stupid drivers and cops... and its funny how theres never a cop around when someone should be getting pulled over... go figure...

Oh damn that's so right. I was behind a bloke yesterday - all over the road, and a couple of times almost up on the pavement, and kept speeding up, and then breaking when there was nothing at all infront of him - almost certainly drunk, and no cops around. I was only behind him for about half a mile before he turned off. As he went i tooted him a few times and gave him the V sign - i just hope he saw it in his rear view mirror. And what made it worse was the time - half 3 in the afternoon - which is when most schools finish, so he could killed a little kid. It makes me sick.

I don't drive, don't even have my permit (I'm almost 18..). I don't have any desire to..BUT my friends take me out a lot. I had a friend, we used to start driving after school (around 2-3) and just take every single back road until it got too late (12ish), you know? We drove thru NJ to somewhere in PA once. I'd light his cigarettes and he'd control the music. It was really nice.

Gas is too expensive to go driving for the hell of it. So I'm usually going to Waffle House or somethinmg like that. No the bike only takes $10 to fill and ride for a few hours. No telling where I wind up on that.

i dont live near any mountains or country roads. (live on long island.. and NO i'm not rich at all -lol sorry a lot of people think everyone from long island has a lot of money) me and my friends usually just drive around town, but the roads are never completely empty. theres usually at least a few other cars out really late at night. i dont drive to the city (we take the train for like a 20min ride) bc i would prob get into an accident on huge roads like that.. esp. if i was stoned haha.

I'm lucky. I run my vans on Marine diesel from work, so i get it for free. :D

I'd be smoking alot less weed if i had to pay for Diesel, especially with the amount i have to travel to and from work. It's fairly economical but 126 miles twise a day will eat alot of juice. The clocks gone all the way round once and it's started over, and i bought the van with 18000 on the clock.

Free diesel!! :D

Free diesel!! :D

Perks of the job eh? All i get is free staples.

Just spent another £35 filling up my car but i do enjoy zooming around the country lanes near me. There are some awesome (but very narrow) roads around Brentwood in Essex.
