I am board as hell, and i was wondering if i could grow weed in my backyard, i have a seed, do i just put it in a couple inches down and water it, or what?

way too much to explain. To answer 1 of your questions, yes you do need to germinate if you are planting directly in soil. Then you can only hope for a female, then you can only hope it survives harsh soil conditions!
