I brought 4 precious rare seeds from some kind bud to sunny southern france last year, too late to get a garden growing. I got some adequate (not great) green bud in october with lots of seeds, so I just saved them in the same container with the precious 4. (it's almost as if I was under the influence of something when I did that)! So I planted them all a few weeks ago, and almost all of them germinated. Now that they have about 5 sets of leaves each, I notice that a few of them smell really strong. I'm giving away most of them, and saving about 6. What I would like to know is, does a strong smell mean strong pot? Two smell particularly strong and the leaves look different from the others, the stems are thicker and they're kinda reddish, whereas the other stems are just green, so I'm tempted to think those are from the superior seeds. But I asked a pothead friend and he said not necessarily. The truth is, 7 of them have a distinctive scent, while the rest don't smell like anything. I would appreciate any insight you all could provide. I'm fairly new to this.
