how to wire up a PC fan to a plug?

ok. so I have a PC fan and a plug. and I want to WIRE them together.

so I can put it in my rubber made growbox.

I tryed once but I got a little shock.

so I just had to put a regular fan in front of the box to keep the air moveing.

anyway I would be very greatful if someone could help me with wireing them up.

The fan is DC, the wall is AC. I dunno how much basic electricity you've learned, either from school, or common sense but these two can not be hardwired together and work.

Get a 12v AC/DC universal adapter. Cut off the wire from the adapter that is supposed to be plugged into a phone, cd, w/e and then plug it into the fan.

haha u have to go and get a 12v phone or watever charger and try wireing the red to black and itll work but yea you got shocked because you cant wire them togather im sure it sparked and watever...yea it wont work soo dont try it...

yea goto wallmart and for about 3 dollars you can get a little metal fan...look in the back by the garden supplies and there are plenty types...also i suggest cutting a hole in the box and put the fan pointing in a hole for vent which is important....

yea i have a fan pointing in my to strengthen my plants stalks...make the more sturdy and cool my lights kuzz i have 15 cfls ina small box...thats why i suggest just cutting a hole big enough for the fan face to fit in and then you can put it in the hole and cool everything at once]...then a hole for vent like try 1 3'' or 2 2'' i just have a big like vagina shaped 1 kuzz mine is a tent ...

Just get the small metal walmart desk fan for $5. It moves SERIOUS air for a little piece of shit. And won't burn your house down. (probably :D)

yah I got one a about a month ago. and my plant is looking better than ever.
and its never above 75 temps in the cab.

yeah but either way you need to have air actually circulating through the cabinet right? I mean moving the same air around once its all hot wont help much.. you're not saying that an exaust isnt needed are you?

You NEED exhaust in a cabinet.
Home depot. 4" duct booster fan. Power tool replacement cord. Black to black, white to white, green to ground. HAve fun. No fucking around with inverters and shit. Those things are built to run off wall voltage.
