ok this is kind of hard to describe but i would really like lots of peoples different opinions on this one. Normally say a few weeks ago i used to be fine (and i have been smoking weed for a fair few years) like i would be able to smoke an eigth or a quarter or as much as i want and enjoy the strong effects of being stoned etc and all i would want is some munch to eat (as we all do!) but lately whenever i smoke weed, even if its one joint.. i go all weird i feel all lightheaded and my heart beats really fast.. and my mouth and throat goes dry as fuck! i keep needing to take sips of water and even everytime i do that it doesnt really make any difference and i have to keep hyperventaliting (sp?) very fast just to try and keep going and i feel as if im going to throw up or something. i have been getting this a lot lately does anyone have any idea as to what it could be? Really need some help as this has been fucking up a lot of my nights!! :( Thanks.

It sounds like anxiety to me. Are you doing anything different recently, like a change in toking routine, stress etc?

I know someone who has that. She has A.D.H.D., and other things.

She said you have to totally stop smoking everything for a couple hours. Well, now, you should go an hour longer after you completely sober up, and then you can smoke again. :joint1:

I don't think so. I ask because I sorta have this, especially if I ingested large amounts. I went from doing nothing from recovery to working-full time, going to school and having less time to relax. As a result, whenever I smoke or eat a large amount now, I will get paranoid, light-headed, anxious, and moody. No nausea tho. It sounds similar to what I have, that's why I ask.

Test it by slowing way down on the weed and see. It's easy enough to check that out.

Sounds like either you're responding with the "adrenergic" reaction, which is very common, especially right after smoking, to the particular strain you're using right now, which I'm guessing is a sativa. That's just the heart-racing, dry-mouth, slighty flighty/anxious feeling that happens when the smoke first causes some vasoconstriction and makes your heart beat faster and gives you the same feeling as if you've had a burst of adrenaline. Or else you're having some anxiety along with your high. Both reactions are very very common. And just because they haven't happened before doesn't mean they can't start anew.

If you cut down on weed or take a two-day break and notice that the symptoms ease, you'll have your answer.

shit bro, as i was reading that I was amazed cause its the same shit thats been happening to me, im quitting now for a while to see if it eases up but whenever i smoked recently that shit woudld happen and just completely ruin my high. It came out of nowhere and it really pisses me off cuase i love weed. But yea sorry im not that informative but i just know exactly what ur sayin. My advice is just take a break like me.
