Also you can use either grow or blooms bulb tubes, this has me excited!
When it arrives, Im setting up a grow with bagseed and I will lst heavy and top 1-2 times
I have that new official "actually grow decent bud" light happiness an motivation to learn all that I can...Anybody remember that feelin when you got your new light?
Feels good

I love the new-shit-in-the-mail feeling.
You know how the light feels?
It feels even better when decent genetics arrive in the mail... hint hint hint... :D
Those T5 fixutres rock my world for seedlings!!! Can't complain...
the New Wave that I have has a flat top too and I stick things on TOP of it to take advantage of the slight heat... GREAT for germinating beans.
Anyway I very highly recommend spending the $$$ on a known proven indoor strain. Bagseed is great and all to test your skills on but one of the classic indoor strains will make you even happier in the end.

Oh yea Attic best believe I plan ordering proper genetics,' Aurora Indica and Afghani are my first choices at this time. But until that happens I am DEFINITELY gettin a grow going, some real good light green, slightly covered in trichomes, smell was fruity/orange. I'd say high mid grade bud, definitely a good high...
This is very important in this particular instance, I am a medicinal grower...and I depend on marijuana for proper function of daily activities.
Haha its funny cause this bagseed is IM pretty sure if memory serves SATIVA...haha Im still going to keep her low and lst, I plan on lst'ing around the pot method, go that route and use these 4 footers to there full potential
Thanks everybody for the input

T5's are great for early stages of plants.. but to use T5's the entire life of the plant will produce... mediocre results. However, if you can get specific spectrum bulbs for your T5 fixture, you'll do much better.
HiD is the way to go! But you must weigh out the circumstances and be sure that you are able to safely and properly setup HID without problems.
Cheers,
Bob.

I happen to be budding with my new 8 tube T5 , 4 bulbs blue 4 bulbs red. This is my first try at using the low heat T5 set up.. One month into it and they look fantastic. Heat was a huge problem with the 400w HPS in a small tight area. I was hoping these would solve my problems and so far so good.

Hey thanks man, how many lumens does yours put out? Your setup sounds badass man, keep up the good work, what you growing?
The hps was my first choice also, but the heat and no real ventilation forced me to t5's...but they look promising and IM really excited man

Well I guess 32,000. Blue bulbs are rated 6400 and red at 3000. I'm Growing an old affy strain that I bummed off a vetran grower. I'm tempted to slip the other 4 red bulbs in but that would drop my lumens some, and my girls really do look good so i'ma leave it. I been thru overheating problems. light leakage problems, bugs, manual light timer failed, (digital now) Getting it dialed in is fun tho,, good luck man!

Excellant choice on the T5's. I got a 4' 4 tube several weeks ago to keep a few mothers under and I love it. Nodes are staying closer than with the T8's. I think I'll get another one in a couple of cycles.
