Just wondering what everyone's dream car(s) are. Thought it would make an interesting topic.
My ultimate dream car is the Bentley Continental GT.
6.0L Twin-Turbocharged, 552bhp. 0-60mph in 4.7 seconds (1-100kilos in 4.8). Plus, it's a Bentley, so you know the car bleeds quality.
Anyone got $156,000 (US) I can borrow??
I'm also quite fond of the new Mustang GT. I think that's a bit more reasonable when it comes to price lol.

My dream car would have to be a Mitsubshi EvoVI, fully rally prepared :D
There's nothing quite like blatting down a country lane, at over 120mph...sideways :D
I got a stirring in my groins, just from thinking about it :o

I was supposed to get my dads 67 Mercury cougar (motor trends car of the year), to restore this summer, but we had a little disagreement  . It can technically be mine wheever i have the money and invested interest again. Probably get it in a year. After i have landscape money, and if i'm im in the postiiton (wiht another job) to invest in it, which im sure i will. Wait out until next winter, or even the one after, theres no rush. Heres how one thats restored looks,
390/335: 0-60 in 8.1 seconds, 1/4 mile in 16 seconds.
Though i would of coruse mod the heck out of it, Right now im not sure what engine it has. But i got contacts, and help, so i would probably upgrade and mod, thus rod!
Althoguh considered a luxary sport coupe, it is a muscle car. Thats for sure.

Althoguh considered a luxary sport coupe, it is a muscle car. Thats for sure. That's a bonerfied sex machine there, C. Nothing like a good classic car. I'm partial to the 68-72 Chevelle SS. Bitchin car, it is. Big and heavy, but bold and beautiful. :D
I agree that the STI's and Evo's and such nice cars and are fast as hell, but they sound like souped up vacuums or go carts. Give me the throaty growl of a muscle car any day. Like the new GTO. I don't like the design that much, but it sounds sexy as hell.

MMM mmmm, GTO sound sooo good. I agree completely, the stlying is unque.. in the GTO's .
Somebody on my st. or oscasionally visiting my st. has a 67 Chevy Chevelle Malibu.
Chevelle line takes a dive past 72, i think anyhow. To bad to see these cars lose thier mystique. The niceest cougars (in my opinion) were from 67-70, after that they lost thier racing and speedness and joined in as a lower end car :(.
So the era of muscle cars ended, but not before mopars made a name for themselves in the early 70's.
Lol! Looking back on those early barracudas!!!
Gee they make my chevette not look so unique,:).
Every car has it's own unique style though, and the early barricudas are definatly cool. Not to mention the later ones! :p

They're actually the American version of the Holden Monaro, which is an Australian muscle/luxury car. You can compare below. But of course, the Monaro doesn't have the monstrous growl of the GTO.
'Cudas are nice bro. For some reason, I've always liked them in green. Don't ask lol.

Mmmm, the Ariel Atom. That's one nice car. The newest model comes with a 300 horsepower supercharged Honda 4. Best thing about it is that it only weight half a ton. Does 0-60 in 2.8 seconds, and it has 2 seats! I'd love to live in Europe and have this car in my country house up in the mountains.

What year and what kind of engine is it? I've been to Australia 5 yimes, last time I was there I paid attention to every car on the road, and even read some aussi car magazines. I love Holdens, they're beautiful, RWD, big-engine cars. It's too bad GM keeps those cars over there and gives us the crap that it does.

I suppose the E-type Jag would have to be my ultimate dream car. Generally I like quirky-looking motors, doesn't have to be hugely expensive or even very fast
ie. Fiat 500 :D

Yes, the RX-8...coool...
I especially liked it when Jeremy Clarkson (a TV motor journo - and general 'I know whats best, and you don't, so go away!' kinda guy) said, "I'm doing 85mph, in fourth, and when I put my foot down, 5 secs later, I'm doing 130mph!"
lol
The Ariel Atom, is the car I would love to have, if I had a spare £30,000 kicking around

Yeah i love the late 60's E type roadsters. But they are lacking in the "actually running" aspect. I hear anways that alot of jags having electrical problems, (over heat), and some not running in rain!!?
Mabe that was specfic to model. Or Canadian weather is worse then Englandish? Dish?
But yeah, anyways that car shits class as we'll as gass.

ooohkay, whatever you say takumi...
im looking at an Even OLDER school corolla. a te72, i got my rims already, and am going to get the 1982 te72 4 door from this guy up north a couple hours, still havent decided wether or not i should keep the te72, or take the big 3t-c motor out of the te72, sell the rest of the car, and use that money to buy a toyota starlet (KP61) to put the motor into... i am tihnking im gunna go with the starlet even though it is more work, but i will make 100$ out of the deal, and i dont really want a 4 door corolla te72, the starlet is 2 door. by the way, the starlet is going to be used for som drifting/grip racing, but mostly auto cross. cause i already have a roll bar for it, and a freind who is willing to be navagation/spotter in the passenger seat, but that would mean he would have to pay for his OWN damn seat and 5 point harness, and helmet.

Bah, fuck cars. I have a bicycle and I love it. No gas to pay for, no pollution of the environment, plus it's an excellent way of getting exercise. My only beef with the bike is that the city doesn't do anything to make it easy for cyclists to get around—we either have to ride the sidewalks and hit pedestrians or ride the streets and get hit by cars (both of which have happened to me in the past couple months).
My dream is a world without cars.
