View Full Version : lowrider questions
I've got a fuck load of questions for anyone whos had any experience with growing lowrider before.
my biggest question is does it really go from seed to finish in just 8 weeks?!
next, the pics ive seen of the plants are TINY can you really get half ounce of each plant?!
next when using ferts and nutes do you just go straight to the bloom doses?
how does it smoke once its finished, whats the high like?
and finally can someone hook me up with some linkage to a reliable seedbank that sells it... im trying to get an idea of pricing but seedbotique doesnt have em in.

This addresses Lowryder 2, not the original Lowryder...

Yes, but I pushed it to 9

Possible, but you'd need an HID lamp, probably hydro, too, to get 1/2 oz dried. I got 1/4 seeded in soil using CFL
next when using ferts and nutes do you just go straight to the bloom doses?
I gave one dose of 20-20-20 then went to 5-50-5
how does it smoke once its finished, whats the high like?
Tastes sweet and smokey, not like your typical bud. High depends on when you harvest, but potency is noticably lower than, say Northern Lights.
and finally can someone hook me up with some linkage to a reliable seedbank that sells it... im trying to get an idea of pricing but seedbotique doesnt have em in.

Dude, I just realized I did all your heavy lifting...I don't mean to hate, but use the search tool. There are dozens of links for Lowryder and LR2! Good luck.

Hey, i had a question too, is this an autoflowering strain or does it have to be in the conditions of near 12/12h?

both lowryder and LR2 are autoflowering, so they'll flower no matter what light cycle you put them on.

yes, i personally bought from them. I had to e-mail them to follow up on an order, only to find out they hadn't processed it yet, but then they came through and sent 10 NLX freebies.

Lowryder, and all auto-flower miniature plants, are a waste of time and light, as far as I'm concerned, for one simple reason: "why risk jail and thousands of dollars in fines, and possibly having your property seized, for such a disgracefully low-yield, impotent weed ? " ... (don't tell me how potent it can be, that just tells me you have never smoked good herb) ... if my ass winds up in jail, it will be for growing a good quantity of top-quality medicinal herb, not a joint's worth of mediocre ditchweed (that's what ruderalis is, you know, Russian ditchweed) ... in fact, if you look it up in some botanical textbooks, you will see Ruderalis disputed as even being a true cannabis ... the only reason anyone would want this garbage, is to have a tiny plant that can be hid under the bed, where maybe Mommie won't find it, another reason to pass it by ... don't put your family's home and well-being to risk for your own entertainment :smokin:

Have you tried it yourself? Aside from that, I find your assessment of risk upside down. In California, I'd rather face a judge with one 8" plant and paltry yield...much easier to explain away "personal use" than the seizure of one or more 3-footers...more than hinting at intent to sell. Also, not all of us have wooded nor-cal acreage for buffer or live north of Marin County where a liberal "turn-a-blind eye" appraoach to 420 drives the local economy. Based on personal experience with this stain, I think you trashed a fine herb that's stealthy for encroaching city life, and whose potency, though moderate, makes an 8 week turnaround more than justified.

..what does smoking have to do with growing?

I have posts somewhere on this site...I don't remember right now, but I think I got one dud, one came crushed, one girl, and 7 male/hermies.
I would highly recommend Lowryder 2 if you haven't grown much before...yes there are much stronger breeds yielding tenfold, but that take 8 weeks from seed? I'd pay to see it.
I agree with Image Reaper.
I have grown the original lowryder last season and can say it is absolute shit.
Yes it is stealthy but the good things end right there. I averaged 4gms per plant, it tasted green and was extremely low potency.
Try masterlow, blue streak, guerilla gold instead. All autoflowering strains.
OR even better.. plant a regular strain late in the season so it stays small and it should begin to flower anyway!

uhhhhh masterlow is a lowryder cross........ just like lr2...... jack ass. lr2 = lowryder x santa maria.
39.3gr off one lr2 grown in aerobucket under four 23w cfls.
31.8gr off one lr2 grown in two gallon bucket of dirt from my back yard.
knock it if you can't grow it right....... everyone else is.
